Thunder on the Strip

This is a drag race event held on the taxiway of the Gladwin Zettel Memorial Airport.  It is a legal way to test your vehicle's performance for your own curiosity, or compare to other competitors.

It is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages.

The event is setup as follows:

Drag race timing system with a ticket printer for times and speeds

3 staging lanes (Lane1 & 2 are for racers who want to grudge race and will be staged together.  Lane 3 is for racers who just want to make a run and are staged with either the vehicle in front or behind them.  Lanes are lightly prepped with VHT but traction conditions are not as sticky as a drag-strip.

Every level of car and racer is welcome.
