So its not really a virus but a Trojan which means it disguises itself to be something else like Adobe update or another software update that you may have and you click update and enter your password and install the Trojan. No one has yet to come up with a Virus which is a malicious piece of software that gets installed on your Mac OS X that you don't know about it or haven't authorized.



The Flashback Trojan, also called BackDoor.Flashback.39, was initially discovered as a fake Adobe Flash Player plug-in installer in September 2011.
