I felt compelled to write this quick note on the big difference between these two programs.



I use to use Cocktail religiously and I suppose it was more because it got so many good recommendations with Mac HelpMate right on its heals. Both of these mac os x system cleaners were free.



Recently cocktail popped up a message and said either buy or quit if you want to continue to use me. Well I quit because I don't believe it provided enough value to warrant a purchase. If I was to purchase something it would be TechTools before cocktail.



Anyhow, went to the reliable standby and Mac HelpMate is still free to use. Works just as good and does have its fair share of rewards and recommendations as well.



So for those of you that like freeware as much as I do. Keep your system clean and running smoothly with Mac HelpMate.
