November 27, 200916 yr A known issue is that Mac's can view Visio .vsd files which are binary files. The good news is that Microsoft is making it a standard for all there office products (windows or mac) to have an xml file extention which will work. It's more of a universal standard instead of a propritery windows standard. Until everyone gets caught up with vdx (xml) files. We need to convert those vsd files to the xml file. Currently ConceptDraw does perform this task. I recommend you bootup an old PC that has Visio loaded on it and open the .vsd file and then export as a vdx file. Quicker and easier. When you get .vsd files in an email, ask the sender to send you the file in vdx (xml) format instead. Most of the time they don't mind and the next thing you know they are now converted xml users. It all starts with a ripple and ends up a wave of people.
