I have no idea what the heck is going on and HP site only has updates for Redhat (.rpm) and when I try and install the rpm on my Ubuntu 11.10 x64 Server it errors out saying the machine isn't i386.

By the way I tried to install the HP Redhat 64bit driver by downloading the driver and running the following:

First I installed the prereqs

sudo apt-get install alien dpkg-dev debhelper build-essential



Then I tried to run it against the downloaded rpm

sudo alien hp-tg3-3.116j-3.src.rpm

hp-tg3-3.116j-3.src.rpm is for architecture i386 ; the package cannot be built on this system



Again, any suggestions would be great. I'm at a loss at this point.
