AT&T issues with iPhone 4s

I made a huge mistake and left Verizon for ATT and it was mainly because I wanted the 25% discount which later I found they don't give on the unlimited plan, only a limited minute plan.



Anyhow, the signal strength with AT&T is horrible in comparison to Verizon. I had signal just about everywhere with my iPhone 4 with Verizon and with AT&T I get text messages an hour after they were sent. Also with AT&T the phone calls drop constantly no matter who I'm talking to and I'm sitting in the same spot.



So since I have been trying to make this work for more than the 30days I had to cancel without getting charged $350, AT&T is very excited to get $350 from me because they know I have no choice.

Replace SIM Card


Offered to sell me a microcell (a device that sits in your home and uses you internet to provide better cellular service in your home only) for $200. If I have to pay $200 to get service in one area, I would rather put that towards cancelling my service and either going back to Verizon or trying Sprint which is the last carrier to have unlimited data.


(they told me to call Apple since they can't do anything else)



Apple troubleshooting steps so far has been...

  1. Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings (phone rebooted and service appears to be better and I have 3G service which I didn't before. Giving it 24 hours)
  2. Restore as a new device which focuses on SOFTWARE issues (this will help eliminate something copying over from the backup that may be bad)
  3. Go to Apple store and they will replace iPhone which which focuses on HARDWARE issues


If problems still exists after all the above has been done, then nothing left to do but go down the cancellation path.

I'm a 25 years old male from Canada but not originally born there. I am originally from Spain. I relocated to Canada with our family in 2003 and have been living there ever since. Canada is a superb place and I loved from the very first time that I visited.
