Tire Size whats on it now are 35x12.50 R18LT 10ply LOAD E range (mainly for the hauling) Also I have Toyo R/T (which is Rugged Terrain which is a mix of the All Terrain tires and the Mud Tires but they are LOUD but not as loud as a mud tire but someone who drives highways alot, stay away from these unless you like to hear your tires always singing) Noise Test with the 35 Toyo R/T tires Toyo35r-t_noise.mp4 But I’ve been interested in some better mileage and the key is to go more narrow of a tire. Possibly move to a 33 but trucks with a 6" lift and 33" tires looks awful in my opinion. So I wanted the Toyo Open Country ATiii tires but apparantly every store is out of them and back ordered until mid 2021 so I went with my #2 choice which I run on my 91 K5 and my wife's 4runner.. the BFGoodrich KO2's Somehow I got rims as well. Recording DB noise level driving 80mph with my new BF Goodrich KO2 35x12.50 Load E Range Tires fully inflated BFgoodrichKO2_nosie.mp4 Here are some helpful charts on explaining tire size Some guidance based on the lift you may have for some of the GM trucks

Removed the fender flares (dirt/salt traps) initial removal after I hosed off the Dirt and did my first pass with the eraser wheel it appears the stock fender flares rubbed right through the paint in spots. I brought it to Clarkston Auto Body and they said they can repaint it for around $1200

Changing the glow plugs fixed the check engine light. one side of the truck they used seize and it was pretty easy to change, the other side they didn't use seize and had after market glow plugs and was a bitch to change.

1963-64 Chevy Custom 4x4 Truck
Today I ordered the replacement title from cartitles.com for $79 I paid eBay to run the add for 30 days. Lots of hits and interests but my lowest price is $7000 which if you have read this entire post is a steal. Don't necessarily want to sell since I'll be loosing so much and I would of loved to build this truck. 4x4 classic truck able to do anything but wife got cancer in February 2020 and we need some income to help cover the medical bills. Material stuff comes and goes but your best friend isn't replaceable. So a skinny view of what has been spent on the truck (doesn't include everything but probably most of it) $ 2118.31 Front and Rear Fenders $ 1600.00 Used 64 Cab from AZ ($650) + transport ($950) $ 800.00 solid used 84 suburban 4x4 frame, 2500 axles $ 330.00 Rear Brakes (drums, spring kit, pads, emergency brake cable) $ 445.00 3/4 ton springs ($380.71) & new uBolts ($64) $ 209.47 Transmission Crossmember (used) $ 79.00 CarTitles.com (replace lost title) $ 6956.00 MMC Body Work $11817.78 Sub-Total This price doesn't even take into account everything else that comes with the sale: Working Chevy 400 engine 700R4 Transmission NP241C 4x4 Transfer Case new wheels and tires two hoods two sets of doors the rear glass (difficult to find) original bench seat original steering column and emergency brake gas/brake pedal assembly radiator

Underside of cab is a primed and painted black with Rustoleum rattle can paint. It boiled down to two big cans of Primer and one can of black paint. i also tried to paint the firewall with some farm and home rattle can blue paint. Doesn’t look horrible but went through two cans pretty quick. decided to paint the floor with black paint and the dash with the blue paint. going to put this on hold for now since I spent about $50 on paint but at least the floor is done so I can put the body back down and bolt it to frame.

Eastwood heat and sound barrier went on like crap. Letting it dry overnight and we’ll see where we are at with it. I have a feeling we’ll be painting over it. my son Zack pulled the steering column, emergency brake, brake pedal, gas pedal, master cylinder and seat out of the 63 donor parts cab. goal today is get firewall and inside cab dash area painted so we can install the parts that Zack just took off, except seat

So it’s been awhile but my wife got leukemia and been focusing on helping her get better. I have been selling all my toys since she’s without a job and we need money. We aren’t the people that live with a savings and are more that paycheck to paycheck family. Thought I was going to be selling the 64 as it sits but I’m at the point of trying to put it together very slowly. Here is a plan of attack, tons to do for no to little cost. Prime under body and rattle can paint Prime firewall and Rattle can paint Off old body (save bolts) Brake pedal Emergency brake Accelerator pedal Steering Column & bracket Seat Install on new body Brake pedal Emergency Brake Accelerator Pedal Suburban Proportional valve Master cylinder Brake lines (left rear to front, right rear to center) Redo hubs Steering Column Purchase (1) Core Support (2) inner front fenders Painless Wiring Harness

Now getting a Check Engine light when the glow plugs are trying to warm up the engine to start. Checking for codes it shows ECM P0672 which is a bad glow plug in cylinder #2 which is about $20 for the glow plug and looks like its a do it yourself type of job. Its like changing a skinny, tiny spark plug.

Added EFI Live DSP5 and a TCM tune all from calibrated power (duramaxtune). Now just trying to get the truck to find its groove. It doesn't feel like it knows what to do. I have been keeping it in Position 1 which is the stock+ tune and I plan on keeping it here until it feels like its regained the normal shifting and driving and then I'll kick it to Position 4 which is the Eco mode to get those high miles per gallon (especially driving back and forth to Detroit for Kate's Chemo). Then Position 2 and 3 are for towing which will also come in handy. You can tow with Position 1 (stock+ tune) but position 2 and 3 just add some benefits you only really need when towing and its based on load. Position 2 is Heavy Load (over 8000 lbs of weight your towing) Position 3 is for Light Load (under 8000# towing). Position 5 is for race tuning with stock equipment but could still mess up some crap so the suggestion is not not use it often if you can hold yourself back.. we know you won't be able to.

2007 GMC Sierra 2500 (classic)
It arrived yesterday and discovered some surprises Fuel Filter is at 1% Only 1 key and 1 Viper keyfob Viper Keyfob doesn't lock/unlock or remote start vehicle Steering Wheel Controls don't light Fuel Gauge moves super slow (not sure if its accurate) No way to lock/unlock doors GM Delco Radio (6 disc) doesn't support MP3 CDs Steps are right up against truck. Fuel Filter No big deal, ordered some AC Delco Fuel Filters on Amazon for $30/each. Pretty easy to change Key issue When I find a dealership that is open, I'll get two new keys cut and programmed if needed Keyfobs I may purchase two factory ones or just get a remote start put in that would replace keyfobs anyways. This will hopefully fix the lock/unlock issue as well. Steering Wheel Controls Not a major issue but it appears Dorman sells these on Amazon for about $100 for all four controls. Heard the cable is super short so replacement can be challenging. Fuel Gauge Internet said to run Fuel Cleaner through system for three fill up's and see if it cleans the float/sending unit which could be sticking. If issues still exist then take the cluster out and send to Circuit Board Medics for repair (have them change bulbs to LED while they have it.. might as well also send the auto temp cluster for LEDs and anything else while the cluster is apart. Radio This is something I don't want to change but will because with a lifted truck especially, I need to see if anyone is behind me. It's more difficult to judge distance. Also I love Apple Carplay feature so I can listen to Spotify. Radio now a days is difficult to find a station anymore near me since everyone seems to be on SirusXM Steps The steps on this truck are useless. They are tucked so close to the truck its more of a rock slider than a step. My plan is to move to AMP Research Power Steps which will help my wife greatly since she can't easily get in the truck due to the chemo. This is my priority right now and the Fuel Filter.

Looking at a couple of upgrades that would make it more my truck and what I want. Ceramic Coating - DONE 3/24/2020 by Ceramic Pro Clay bar service (strips all the impurities that were on your car previously) Buff wax blackout of exterior trim 5 Layers of Ceramic Pro 9H 1 Layer of Ceramic Pro Light Applied as a Top Coat 1 Layer of Ceramic Pro 9H on Rims and Plastic 1 Layer of Ceramic Pro Rain on Front Side Windows and Windshield Lifetime Warranty AMP-75113-01A Power Steps - Installed by Al on 4/5/2020 Tow Mirrors GM OEM Tow Mirrors (boring.. no front facing turn signal) and run about $400 each (GM Part# 15904035 right & 15904034 left). Word on the reviews is they still shake just like an after market mirror does so not sure its worth the high price tag for GM Camper Mirrors. BOOST Auto - $550 - purchased on 2020-04-07 (not received yet) (Thought is bring over mirrors and Pop & Lock tailgate to Al) Cab Lights Truck Bed Accesories RetraxONE Polycarbonate - Purchased (not received) Swing Gate Storage - Purchased (received - not installed) Bed Rug - Purchased (received - not installed) Pop & Lock power locking tailgate handle Item # PAL8110 (received - not installed)PL8110-chevy-silverado-gmc-sierra-classic.pdf Dark Tinted Windows Body Repair Right rear of bed is pushed in. Have Clarkston Auto Body see if they could fix it and put in rear window replace rear sliding window with GM OEM (use clarkston auto body), or instead GM OEM use CRL Get quote on fixing scratches, swirl marks Get quote on rust proofing before winter Remove chrome moldings from doors replace plastic bed side covers with line-x spray Interior/Electrical (Radio Knobs Speaker and Things) replace radio (or figure out how to connect phone to an aux port).. new radio means backup camera. -PRIORITY so I can get backup camera replace rearview with compass/temp. Upgrade gauges with LED lighting at Circuit Board Medics - avg $350 Misc Fix headlamp (passenger side has condensation) replace fog lights (worn out, dull, faded)
