Are The Kenda Klever M/T The Best Off-Road Tires Made? Read Our Tire Review, 3 Years and Almost 70,000 Miles Of Testing When it comes to off-road adventures, one of the most important decisions you can make is choosing the right set of tires. Whether you’re conquering rugged trails, rock crawling, or plowing through mud and sand, your tires are what keep you going. Three years ago, I faced that very decision with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU, and after a lot of research, I took a chance on the Kenda Klever M/T mud tires. Now, after driving over 63,737 miles across every terrain imaginable, it’s time to see how these tires have held up and whether they’re worth the investment and will take the title of best off-road tires ever. The Beginning: Why I Chose Kenda Klever M/T Let’s rewind to February 2021. My Jeep had 63,751 miles on it, and I was itching to take it on some serious off-road adventures. There was just one problem—my old tires weren’t up for the job. I needed a set of mud tires that could handle rough terrain without breaking the bank. Like many of you, I was looking for a balance between performance and price, especially since the economy was still feeling the effects of COVID-19. That’s when I stumbled upon the Kenda Klever M/Ts. I’ll admit, I didn’t know much about them at the time. They weren’t the big-name brands that are always mentioned in the off-roading community, but they were affordable, and I thought, “Why not give them a shot?” The Install: A New Beginning for Road Rash Off-Road After purchasing the Kenda Klevers, I made my first-ever Road Rash Off-Road video, documenting the installation process. Looking back, the video quality wasn’t great, and I had no idea what I was doing when it came to filming. But it was the beginning of something special—my YouTube channel has since become a hub for off-road enthusiasts, and these tires were a big part of that journey. The Test of Time: Three Years of Off-Roading Adventures Fast forward to today, and the Kenda Klever M/Ts have far surpassed my expectations. Over the past three years, I’ve taken my Jeep through some of the most challenging terrains out there: – Rock crawling at Gulches, Winrock, AOP, Morris Mountain, and Beasley Knob – Tackling deep, sugary sand in Florida – Navigating muddy trails and rocky surfaces across the Southeast I’ve pushed these tires to the limit, dropping the PSI down to 12 while off-roading, rotating them every 6,000 miles, and even including the spare in the rotation. Through it all, they’ve held up with no chips, gashes, or cuts—something that’s pretty remarkable for a set of budget-friendly mud tires. Performance: Kenda Klever M/T on Various Terrains 1. Rock Crawling One of the first real tests for the Kenda Klevers was rock crawling. If you’ve ever been to places like Gulches or Morris Mountain, you know the terrain can be brutal. The Kendas provided excellent grip and traction, even when I dropped the tire pressure to improve handling. Their strong sidewalls held up against sharp rocks, and I never had to worry about punctures or damage. 2. Sand When I took my Jeep to Florida for some sand driving, I was a little concerned about how these mud tires would perform. Mud tires are typically not ideal for sand, but the Kenda Klevers impressed me once again. With the PSI dropped to around 12, I had no trouble navigating through the deep sand, and the tires never bogged down. 3. Mud and Mixed Terrains Mud is where these tires really shine. The Kenda Klever M/Ts are designed to dig in and provide traction in muddy conditions, and they did not disappoint. Whether I was plowing through thick, sticky mud or a mix of mud and rock, the tires gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward. Tread Wear: 63,737 Miles and Still Going Strong One of the most impressive aspects of these tires has been their durability. After driving 63,737 miles, the tread wear has been minimal. I’ve been diligent about rotating the tires every 6,000 miles, which I highly recommend if you want to maximize the life of your tires. The wear pattern is even across all four tires, and there’s plenty of tread left for future adventures. Unlike other tires I’ve used in the past, the Kenda Klevers have shown no signs of chipping or gashing, even after being exposed to harsh conditions. These tires are built to last, and they’ve certainly proven their worth over the past three years. Are Kenda Klever M/T Tires Worth It? So, after all this time, would I recommend the Kenda Klever M/Ts? Absolutely. These tires may not have the same name recognition as some of the more expensive brands, but they perform just as well, if not better, in many cases. Their combination of affordability, durability, and off-road performance makes them a top choice for anyone looking to upgrade their tires without breaking the bank. If you’re in the market for a set of mud tires that can handle tough off-road conditions and won’t blow your budget, the Kenda Klever M/Ts are worth serious consideration. Conclusion: The Best Off-Road Tires Made The Kenda Klever M/T tires have been more than just a budget-friendly option for me—they’ve been a reliable partner in countless off-road adventures. From rock crawling to deep sand and mud, these tires have exceeded my expectations. After over 63,737 miles of use, they’re still going strong, and I can confidently say that they’ve earned a permanent spot on my Jeep. If you want to see these tires in action and get a more in-depth look at their performance, check out my latest YouTube video where I put the Kenda Klever M/Ts to the test. You won’t want to miss it!
