Justin Lamb Honored to represent RAD Torque Systems for Eighth Season, Heads to NHRA Winternationals in the Hunt for More Diamond Wallys

(0 reviews)

For the better part of a decade, RAD Torque Systems and six-time Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series world champion Justin Lamb have been a united front. They have accumulated many wins together at all levels of Stock and Super Stock competition, from class victories to divisional and national wins and championships. The valued partnership is an anchor in Lamb’s efforts in NHRA’s premier sportsman league, and the No. 1 Super Stock Chevrolet Camaro that prominently displays RAD Torque Systems on the doors will soon be returning to In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, alongside the striking LIUNA-branded Stock Eliminator COPO Camaro that Lamb won with in Phoenix just two weeks ago.

“It’s been a great start to the season, and I feel like I’ve got two of the best cars at every race I go to,” said Lamb, who started in NHRA’s Jr. Drag Racing League at 8 years old. “That’s something I’m proud of, because a lot of work goes into this. To see that hard work rewarded gets us even more motivated – and I’m always excited to get to Pomona anyway. It’s so historic; every win there is incredibly special.”

Last season – in the midst of the successful charge for his sixth world title – Lamb came one win light short of putting the RAD Torque Systems Super Stock Chevrolet Camaro in the winner’s circle at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals, and at this year’s 66th running of the event, he’s eager for redemption. He’s also aiming to extend a hot streak that has included two wins and a final round with only three races so far on his 2026 scorecard. Lamb opened the season with a Super Stock final round at the Phoenix divisional, won the Snyder Sportsman Classic – the Pacific Division’s special event at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip – and is coming off of the Arizona Nationals win in his LIUNA Laborer’s Local 872 Stocker.

Lamb is enthused by a fresh partnership with LIUNA, which complements his longstanding relationship with RAD Torque Systems, and is pleased to have won for both so early in the year. Through thick and thin, great partners are critical components to success on the dragstrip and infusing confidence that encourages tremendous strides.

“Dan Provost and Tammy Lynne from RAD Torque Systems have stood with us in the winner’s circle and cheered for us from their home in Canada for years, always making sure we know they believe in what we can accomplish – from my own racing to my son Jayce in his Jr. dragster. They’ve been strong supporters for a long time, and that means a lot,” said Lamb, a 35-time NHRA national event winner with victories spanning a remarkable six categories. “You’re only as good as the people around you, and Dan and Tammy are some of the best out there. We’re fortunate to have them on our side.”

RAD Torque Systems, originally founded by Provost in a small garage in Abbotsford, B.C., has become a leading Canadian manufacturer of pneumatic, battery powered, and electronic pistol grip torque wrenches. Provost was a salesman who has always been driven to say yes to the needs of his customers, and his thoughtful intensity brought the business to life.

RAD Torque Systems began manufacturing planetary gear reduction torque tools, and in their first year, they built 22 tools. Now, RAD Torque Systems and its parent company, New World Technologies Inc., employ nearly 150 individuals and manufacture thousands of tools each year with a commitment to achieving the highest level of innovation, quality, and performance.

Provost and RAD Torque Systems first joined forces with Lamb in 2019 and stepped up as a major partner at the beginning of 2020.

“If you look at what Dan built, it’s truly impressive, but even beyond that, it’s just really inspirational,” said Lamb. “It isn’t easy to start, grow, and maintain a business, but Dan has worked very hard and overcome many challenges and obstacles. It’s always felt like such a natural fit, to have RAD Torque Systems on our cars, and it’s certainly a source of pride to be part of the Rad Drag Racing team.”

Lamb enters the Winternationals as not only the most recent Super Stock winner in Pomona, but also with a shot at redemption after a runner-up in Super Stock there one year ago to first-time winner John Winslow. Lamb has reached a final round at a Pomona national event six times prior, and he has three Winternationals wins to his credit. This season, the victories are made even sweeter as NHRA celebrates its 75th anniversary with special Diamond Wally trophies.

“These trophies are really cool, and we’ve got a little bit of a collection going at this point,” said Lamb. “I’d like to add to that this weekend.”

The 66th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals will take place at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip April 9-12, 2026. For tickets, visit NHRA.com.
