Ron Capps Motorsports Partners With Women in Motorsports North America

(0 reviews)

Ron Capps Motorsports is proud to announce its partnership with Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA), a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing opportunities for women across all sectors of the motorsports industry.

As part of the collaboration, the WIMNA logo will appear on the Carlyle Tools Top Fuel dragster driven by Rookie of the Year contender Maddi Gordon and on team owner Ron Capps’ NAPA Auto Care Funny Car throughout the 20-race 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. The partnership also includes coordinated social support and shared exposure opportunities designed to increase visibility for women competing and working in the auto racing industry.

“I’ve always taken pride in being able to both drive and work on a car,” said Gordon, who became the 100th woman to win an NHRA national event in 2024 during her first season competing in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class. “To represent Women in Motorsports North America is really cool and I feel honored that they have taken an interest in supporting me during my rookie year. I know firsthand that there are many ways to succeed out here. Whether it’s driving, fabricating, working on a crew, handling publicity, or supporting sponsors, there’s space for women at every level.”

For Capps, the partnership reflects a long-standing commitment to supporting rising talent and expanding opportunity within the sport.

“Maddi represents the future of NHRA Drag Racing in more ways than one,” said Capps, who will debut as a two-car team owner when the season kicks off next weekend in Gainesville, Fla. “She’s earned her place through hard work, talent, and mechanical know-how. Partnering with WIMNA aligns with what we believe as a team. We actually had their decal on my car at the NHRA Finals in November, and we’re happy to continue to support and help provide exposure for the organization however we can.”

“Having Maddi represent Women in Motorsports North America is more than visibility, it’s validation,” said Cindy Sisson, Executive Director of WIMNA. “Her presence in Top Fuel demonstrates that women belong at the highest levels, both competitively and technically. Seeing the WIMNA logo on Maddi and Ron’s cars amplifies that message nationwide.”

NHRA’s 75th anniversary season opens next weekend with the NHRA Gatornationals at historic Gainesville Raceway, March 6 – 8.
