Sellout Crowd at Debut NHRA Potomac Nationals Presented By JEGS

(0 reviews)

NHRA officials announced a sellout on Saturday for its debut at Maryland International Raceway for the inaugural NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS.

The race marked the second visit to four new facilities during NHRA’s 75th anniversary season. Fans packed the grandstands of Maryland International Raceway at the seventh event of the 2026 NHRA season at the second day of qualifying at the NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS.

“I have to say a special thanks to every one of y’all in the stands,” said Royce Miller, owner of Maryland International Raceway. “I knew you would show up if we brought it here, you are the reason we do this. We love you, we appreciate you very much, and we’ve got great things to come. And thank you to all the staff here at MIR, and all the work has been done to get to this point.”

It is the fourth sellout day of NHRA’s milestone season, including the season opener at NHRA Gatornationals and back-to-back days at the NHRA Southern Nationals during its debut at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

Eliminations begin at 11:00 a.m. ET on Sunday at the NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS at Maryland International Raceway. Sunday’s television coverage begins at 3:00 p.m. ET on Fox.
