2027 Chrysler Pacifica Facelift Debuts Next Week in New York

The Chrysler Pacifica is about to enter its 10th model year on sale, but Stellantis shows no sign of winding down the minivan, especially because it still remains the sole model in Chrysler’s stable, and its modest but consistent sales success seems to be pointing towards a quiet renaissance for the minivan genre.

In fact, the Pacifica is just about to undergo its second major facelift, something we’ve already had a more than adequate look at in official imagery and had plenty of info on, including the trim levels and pricing. Despite that, though, the 2027 Pacifica still hasn’t been ‘officially’ revealed, but that’ll change when the model makes its public debut at the New York International Auto Show on 1 April.

Pacifica Turns 10

There shouldn’t be many surprises in store when the new Pacifica officially arrives next week. We’ve already seen the front of the car from plenty of angles, getting a good look at its angular new front treatment, complete with a full-width light bar. That said, it remains to be seen whether the rear of the vehicle gets a similarly sharp-looking overhaul.

Things look much more familiar on the inside, where leaked photos have shown a cabin largely identical to the outgoing car. The model range will remain largely the same, although the base model Voyager – marketed for several years as a separate, budget-friendly model but really just a less well-equipped Pacifica maintaining the original 2017 model’s styling – is dead, and set to be replaced by an entry-level Pacifica LX trim.

It’s likely to retain the same long-serving 3.6-liter V6 and 9-speed automatic transmission, driving the front wheels as standard with all-wheel drive optional on higher spec models. Don’t, however, expect to see a return of the Pacifica Hybrid, as Stellantis has killed off all its North American-market PHEVs with no immediate plans for their return.

Other New York Debuts for Stellantis

The 2027 Pacifica is undoubtedly the biggest new arrival for Stellantis at the New York Show, but the company has a few other new models planned. There’s a special edition Dodge Durango in the works marking the US’ 250th anniversary called the America250, and it’ll also serve as the public debut for the Charger’s new color-shifting Sub-Zero paint option.

Elsewhere, a selection of already-revealed models are making their first public appearances in the US, including the reborn Ram ProMaster City and the facelifted Alfa Romeo Tonale. The show opens to the public on Friday April 3, at its long-time home, Manhattan’s Javits Center.
