Dirt Daily with Fred Williams. His Barn Find 1989 Land Cruiser FJ-62 gets a Dissent Off Road Rear Bumper!

(0 reviews)

Years and years ago I built a 1987 Toyota FJ-62 for my buddy Sean and I loved it. We painted it, lifted it, improved a bunch of suspension and drivetrain, and then he drove the hell out of it. It was awesome. They are like a miniature Suburban, or a big Four Runner. But these OG rides have bulletproof Toyota solid axles front and rear, are comfortable to haul you and your friends and the dog on the trails, and there are jillions of parts available for them. So it’s no wonder that Fred was excited about this barn find example and the possibilities for this project.

In the video below, Fred is installing a brand new Dissent Off-Road rear bumper and spare tire carrier. The FJ comes with the spare inside, taking up valuable space, and making storing a bigger upgraded tire a bit more difficult. But if you use a carrier like the one here, you’ll save space and make life a lot easier when it is time to use the spare.

Check it out.

Video Description:

The Barn Find ’89 definitely needed a stout rear bumper and I found one at Dissent Off-Road. Dissent makes body armor for lots of Toyotas, most of the Land Cruisers, some of the 4Runners and almost all of the Lexus 4×4’s. Find out more at https://dissentoffroad.com
