The Nissan Rogue, known as the X-Trail in other markets, is about to enter a new generation for 2027. This isn’t just another update – it’s shaping up to be one of Nissan’s most significant launches in recent memory. With e-Power technology now part of the package, the next Rogue is clearly aimed at heavyweights like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Honda CR-V Hybrid.
At the official reveal, Nissan gave us the usual exterior shots and broad product details, but the interior was noticeably absent. When that happens, it’s often a sign that either the company wants to save the cabin for a separate debut or it just wasn’t quite ready to show off yet.
Fortunately, leaked photos from the Middle East have surfaced, giving us an early look inside the 2027 Rogue – well before Nissan planned to let us in.
New Cabin Layout, Familiar Nissan Ideas
The first thing that stands out is the center console. Nissan went with a switch-type shifter, much like what you’ll find in the Leaf. The bridge-style layout with pass-through storage underneath carries over from the current Rogue, so it’s a familiar setup for anyone upgrading from the outgoing model.
For the HVAC controls, Nissan went for physical buttons and satin-silver toggle switches, which is a relief for anyone who’s not a fan of touch-sensitive panels. The dashboard appears to feature dual 12.3-inch displays – one for the instrument cluster and another for infotainment. Higher trims will likely get a larger 14.3-inch screen.
The steering wheel sticks to Nissan’s latest design language, with the same two-spoke layout you’ll also see in the new Leaf. There are clear controls for toggling between the LCD meter and navigation, plus buttons for ProPILOT features. The real giveaway is the driver monitoring system mounted at the top center of the wheel, which hints that ProPILOT 2.0 with hands-off capability is coming – at least for the higher trims.

What To Expect From The 2027 Rogue
The 2027 Rogue has to deliver more than just a fresh look. With the Toyota RAV4 already moving forward with a full-hybrid lineup, buyers are paying close attention to how Nissan handles electrified performance, interior quality, and pricing.
Based on the leaked photo, Nissan appears to be prioritizing practicality and a premium feel over futuristic gimmicks. That could turn out to be the right call. If the hybrid system delivers and the price stays in check, the next Rogue might just outshine the model it’s replacing.
For now, this leaked image is probably the best look we’ll get until Nissan decides to pull the covers off the full cabin – hopefully sooner rather than later.
