Shannon is back at the fab work on the FJ40, and man this thing is really coming along. In this installment we are sharing three videos that cover everything from the Vintage Air A/C, the Atlas Twin-Stick transfer case, the new custom grill, and more. There is a lot of fabrication going on in this project, so we hope it inspires you to get out there and start cutting and welding something on your ride this week.
Shannon and Jess are moving right along on the FJ40 and things just keep getting better. If you like a Landcruiser, you’ll dig this one. But if restored to factory is your jam, this one might not be quite up your alley. We dig them all, so we are in.
If you missed this FJ40 project that Shannon Campbell is working on, we’ve got a link below, but if you are back for the next installment in this build series you are in luck as well. I think this is going to be a fun project, because I love FJ40s, but if you have any ideas of building a custom chassis for your FJ or Jeep, you should check this one out.

This week in the shop, Shannon keeps pushing the Toyota FJ40 build forward! In this episode he gets the Vintage Air A/C unit mounted up in the FJ40, cuts and mounts the openings for the Atlas twin sticks, and even shows you guys how to build your own custom brake pedal pad. Lots of little fabrication details in this one that really start bringing the interior together. As usual, it wouldn’t be a normal week around here without a little chaos mixed in Shannon also squeezes in some fab work building a few custom Mother’s Day gifts while juggling all the regular shop madness. The FJ40 project is finally starting to look and feel like a complete rig and we’re getting more excited every single week to see this thing come together!

The FJ40 project keeps moving right along and this week Shannon checks a TON of fabrication and assembly work off the list! In this episode Shannon assembles the light buckets and installs the new HOLLEY LED lights, builds a custom grill, fabricates a custom rear seat mount and latch system, and mounts retractable seat belts in the rear. Inside the cab he installs the B&M shifter, cuts and mounts the A/C vents into the dash, and gets the driveshafts installed. Lots of detail work in this one and the FJ40 is finally starting to come together piece by piece. It’s always the small custom touches that take the most time, but they’re what make these builds one of a kind. As always, thanks for hanging out with us, supporting the channel, and following along on this wild build journey!

This episode is short and sweet, so for those of you who prefer the shorter videos, this one’s for you! We kick things off on Mother’s Day and sneak in a special little snippet from Kennedy’s award ceremony — we are so incredibly proud of her! Back at the shop, Shannon keeps making progress on the FJ40 build. In this episode he:• Builds the bump stops• Gets the pitman arm drilled• Works through steering lengths and steering setup• Continues dialing in the suspension and steering geometry Sometimes the shorter shop days are the ones that move a project forward the most! Thanks for hanging out with us and supporting everything we do. We appreciate every single one of you.
