That’s right, it’s January and that means that King of the Hammers is coming! King of the Hammers 2026 officially starts on January 22nd and will continue for more than two weeks. It features tons of prerunning, qualifying, and racing over those weeks and is an absolutely amazing event. If you dig off-road racing then you’ll like this event becuase there are vehicles of all kinds racing on two and four wheels. This is one of the gnarliest races in the world, and it all happens at the dry lake bed in Johnson Valley California. This baron landscape grows into a giant city over a few weeks and is the largest and fastest growing city in the world for that time period. If you haven’t been to Hammertown to be a part of King of the Hammers, you are missing out.

If you want to see this “town” come to fruition, watch the camera view below as it has become a tradition during Hammertown setup.
