The prototype appears to merge Genesis’s new luxury-sedan design language with the high-performance Magma program, giving the clearest look yet at how the brand plans to expand its enthusiast lineup beyond models like the GV60 Magma.
The sighting also reinforces Genesis’s broader effort to push into segments few expected, much like the recent surprise appearance of the long-roof G90 Wingback.
Facelifted Exterior With Magma-Specific Performance Cues
The G80 Magma prototype wears the facelifted 2025 G80 front end, including a cleaner crest grille, slimmed lighting signatures, and reshaped lower intakes. Wider fenders, a lowered stance, chunkier side skirts, and aggressive aero elements underline that this isn’t a standard G80 wearing body-colored makeup, this is clearly a Magma test mule integrating the brand’s new styling direction.
