We’re big fans of oil testing around here, and often share videos from our favorite oil expert, the Motor Oil Geek himself, Lake Speed Jr. He’s a big fan of oil testing as well, and uses that data to help educate us on oil, lubrication, and long engine life. The guys at Motul also test their oils after being subjected to race conditions, but they are now doing it LIVE and in person at select events! Check it out. Video Description: A few milliliters of oil can reveal everything about an engine

Here’s the Rocky Mountain Race Week 2026 Day Four video and boy is it a fun one. We’re talking on the road, on the track and more! Day Three AND Four are both at Pueblo Motorsports Park and I can tell you that the action is hot, the drive was epic fun, and there are a lot of folks who have some catching up to do. The route was awesome, and once we got into the mountains the temps were in the mid 70’s instead of the mid 90’s and that meant everyone was having fun and in a good mood. The drive was

Generically speaking, I’m not a huge fan of diesel swaps into cars just to make a splash. I mean guys like Rick Fletes, who’s Duramax powered Chevelle does giant wheelstands and runs single digit ETs on the dragstrip while reliably making huge drives on Drag and Drive events all over the country. But if you are the guy that stuffs a Cummins in something just to be “that guy” good on you, but that’s not really my speed. This one here could actually be something special since it is actually going

Living room find? Is this a thing now? I mean we’ve just gotten used to barn finds, junkyard finds, and garage finds, I’m not sure we really need to add another one into the mix. Sure, it’s cool as hell that some of these old finds were actually inside the house, and not the garage, but we’re not talking about some cool man cave thing going on here. We’re talking about cars that have been left to sit, out of the elements, but that have long been left and are in need of some new love. So what ki

You may not be able to get the new Honda Prelude with anything more than a 200-horsepower hybrid powertrain, but you can always make it look quicker than it is. Nobody is better for that job than Honda tuning company Mugen, known for outfitting both everyday and high-performance Hondas with aggressive body kits and aerodynamic components. Mugen unveiled its body kit for the Prelude last year, and now we have pricing, the full selection of parts, and availability for the kit. The bad news? It’s u

I’ll admit that I have worked on a few cars, in the trailer, while going down the road and would give that 1 out of 10 stars, do not recommend. Part of the problem with it is that you can’t see out, and it makes you motion sick which is always fun. But what if you were in a space with two couches and lots of windows, airflow, etc? You know, like the inside of a squarebody limo crew cab dually!? Yeah, it’s as absurd as it sounds and we love it. In the video below, which is epic by the way, Finneg

The Ford Mustang GTD has just rewritten the record books at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. A lighter, more powerful, more aerodynamic GTD Competition variant has reset the benchmark with a time of 6:40.835 around the Green Hell, beating the GTD's previous time by 11 seconds and the Corvette ZR1X's time (6:49.275) by over eight seconds to become the fastest American car at the circuit, the second fastest production car ever to run the course—behind only the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar (6:29.090)—and

The Mustang's Cool Price Spread A Ford Mustang starts at $32,640 for the entry-level EcoBoost model. If you want V8 power, you'll pay at least $46,560 for the GT. The most extreme and expensive Mustang one can buy with a warranty retails for a whopping $318,760, sans destination and gas-guzzler tax. Dearborn desperately hoped that the worst of the 2026 market correction was already priced into their first-quarter earnings, but it wasn't. According to the latest April 2026 data, Ford is staring down a widening rift within its portfolio. The gas-burning Mustang is currently amongst the very few models that Ford sells in the US, which is showing growth for the business, while its ambitious EV and high-tech plays are hitting a massive wall.

A square or U engine layout is an extremely rare engine architecture that generally features four cylinders arranged in a square block with two parallel crankshafts — one for each pair of cylinders — geared together and rotating in opposite directions. The main advantages of such a layout are its compact size and the fact that shorter crankshafts offer more torsional rigidity and are less prone to twisting under load.

Chip Foose is no stranger to cool cars, whether in the project stage or finished or anywhere in between. A camouflaged Toyota two-door rally car prototype has been spotted testing on a gravel rally stage in Portugal, and the intriguing thing about it is that it looks like no existing model from the automaker’s current lineup. Wearing Toyota Gazoo Racing's trademark red, black and white camouflage livery, the coupe prototype was caught on camera by rally fan Marcio Pereira, and the images and videos he took were shared on X.com and picked up by Australia's Drive. Back in the old days, you had to wait until the commercials came on to go grab another beer, use the restroom, or get a snack during the Daytona 500. Then came DVRs, which was awesome because you never had to worry about missing things since you could pause and rewind and all that. But if you didn’t have enough time to watch the whole race, you might record it and then skip through it to find the big moments and maybe watch it in an hour instead of several hours. And now there is YouTube where t

Cars Make Math More Fun Math probably isn't everyone's favorite subject. But the reality is, numbers are what make some of the best cars out there truly memorable. Engineering isn't just throwing darts at a board and hoping for the best, but rather computing for the best possible solution... and hoping for the best. We have channels like Jason Fenske's Engineering Explained that simplify the seemingly dizzying world of automotive engineering by explaining things to us as if we were five years ol

If passed, a new bill could spell trouble for manufacturers that produce three-wheeled autocycles that are currently legally classified as motorcycles. As reported by Hagerty, U.S. House Resolution 3385 has been introduced by Representative Derrick van Orden, and it narrows the definition of a motorcycle (in section 571.3 of title 49 in the Code of Federal Regulations) considerably, requiring manufacturers of vehicles like the Polaris Slingshot or the Morgan Super 3 to either extensively redesig

Off to a Hot Start BMW has entered a new era with the debut of its Neue Klasse platform, starting with the iX3. So far, the Bavarian automaker appears pleased with the early results, as a report from BMW Blog states that the iX3 has secured 50,000 orders in its first six months. Having the iX3 lead the charge for BMW’s new electric vehicle-dedicated platform appears to be a smart move, given that its combustion-powered sibling, the X3, is a volume seller.
