It’s time for some love for this 1971 F100. It doesn’t need much to make a very big difference in how this thing looks, so in the video below it’s getting some slot mags, new tires, and some paint love. Not new paint, just some love to the paint that is already there. This is work you can do at home with your project as well, so check out what Mortske is doing to one of his favorites. Video Description: I’ve always wanted to try some slotted mag wheels out on my 1971 Ford F100 and it needed sm

Engineering Masterclass We often overlook Bugatti as a brand nowadays; we're so used to the idea that they exist in that realm of ultra-speed machines. However, back in the day, Bugatti was the pioneer of the Hypercar segment. The Veyron pushed the boundaries of what was possible: an ultra-luxury, comfortable, yet otherworldly-powered coupe capable of 250 mph. To those who don't know, the follow-up wasn't supposed to be the Chiron; in the works at the time was a sedan version of the Veyron call

Bugatti doesn't make the fastest car in the world anymore. Therefore, they have expanded beyond four wheels and into elite cycling with the Bugatti Factor ONE. Developed with Factor Bikes, the project applies hypercar engineering principles to create what the brand claims to be the fastest UCI-legal bicycle in the world. Limited to 250 units and priced at $23,599, the Type 35-inspired bike is even rarer than a Bugatti Chiron. Bugatti is not a stranger to rare passion projects. From one-off commi

In 1999, Bugatti revealed the Veyron with extraordinary, almost unbelievable figures, kickstarting an automotive arms race that has not since slowed as the hypercar segment was truly born, and more than two decades later, Molsheim is paying tribute to its era-defining masterpiece — and the man who made it happen — with this, the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage. The name is a deliberate tip of the hat to Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, without whom the Volkswagen Group may have crumbled, Audi may have sur

Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire Expands With a Clearer Vision Bugatti’s ultra-exclusive Programme Solitaire is gaining momentum with new details emerging about its next one-off hypercar. When news first broke that the marque was planning another bespoke model following the Brouillard, speculation ran rampant, but clarity is finally coming into focus. Bugatti confirmed that Solitaire will remain limited to just two coachbuilt hypercars a year, each built to embody a unique chapter of the brand’s hi

Rewriting the Rule Book The Bugatti Veyron ushered in the era of the hypercar, creating a whole new class of automobiles that pushed the very limits of what we believed was possible on four wheels. A brainchild of the then Volkswagen Group Supremo Ferdinand Piech, he was extremely meticulous about the Veyron achieving hyperspeed while staying classy and comfortable. This pushed the team to create the standard Veyron, already capable of a staggering 250 mph top speed. Wanting more, they eventuall

Not All Hypercars Live Under Covers For years, enthusiasts have criticized exotic car collectors who treat their vehicles as “garage queens” – a term used for cars that are rarely driven and spend most of their lives in storage. To be fair, keeping them tucked away can help preserve their value, especially in the case of icons like the Ferrari 250 GTO, which can command eight-figure prices at auction. At Bugatti Rimac, however, CEO Mate Rimac takes a different approach. In a recent Instagram pos

The spectacular Bugatti W16 Mistral is one of the most powerful and exclusive roadsters in the world. Its iconic W16 engine and a production run of just 99 units guarantee its collector status. Now, one of the automaker’s most loyal customers has commissioned a thoroughly unique W16 Mistral called ‘Caroline’, named after his daughter. In stark contrast to the sheer muscle of the 1,578-horsepower powertrain, this particular Mistral has an especially elegant, feminine specification. Inspired by th

When Customization Goes All the Way Bugatti’s Sur Mesure division takes customization to a level that goes far beyond the usual. This is the team behind the Hermès Chiron and the lavender W16 Mistral. If an owner has a specific vision, no matter how detailed or unusual, Sur Mesure is set up to make it happen. Its newest project, however, sticks to that approach but shifts from fashion to something more natural. Meet the W16 Mistral “Fly Bug” – the fourth in a series of insect-inspired builds, ea

Programme Solitaire’s Next Creation Programme Solitaire is Bugatti’s answer to modern coachbuilding. It’s not about trim levels or ticking boxes on a configurator. Instead, each car is built for a single owner, with no compromises and no production shortcuts. The first result was Brouillard, a one-off coupe that launched last year. Built on Bugatti’s current hypercar platform, it stood out for its long-tail design, custom bodywork, and the familiar quad-turbo W16 under the hood. Soon after Broui

Reports of the W16's death have been greatly exaggerated. While the W16 Mistral was the last series-productionBugatti to feature the quad-turbocharged 16-cylinder engine, the 1% of the 1% can still commission one-offs based on the Chiron, and following the debut of the Brouillard in August, a new report from The Supercar Blog claims that another such exclusive one-off is coming in January 2026. The publication's sources haven't revealed much, but it's safe to assume that Bugatti Solitaire's seco

Not Good Enough The intentions of GM in launching the Buick Envision were good; it was meant to be a more premium offering than the likes of the Honda CR-V and Toyota Rav4, but with specs matching those of European marques without the European pricing. On paper, this sounds like a winning decision and recipe, using the upscale name and branding Buick is known for, but at more affordable prices. While it may have worked on the onset of Envision's life, it seems people are no longer taking to it.

Derek is back at it, this time with a Buick LeSabre, a car he’s actually bought and modified several times. Not this one in particular, but one that looked almost exactly the same. This one has been swapped already, so it’s got to be road ready right? Considering what comes out of some folks garages, I wouldn’t bet on it. But that shouldn’t stop Derek from finding his way into the driver’s seat and down the road in this one. Check it out as he takes it home to the Vice Grip Garage. Video Descri

The year’s gotten off to a bad start for the U.S. auto industry, sales tumbling by 6.3% during the first quarter, with only a handful of brands in the black. Buick definitely wasn’t one of them, demand down by nearly a third year-over-year. There are plenty of headwinds facing manufacturers, including record high prices, rising fuel costs and high interest rates. But Buick faces its own unique set of challenges crippling a brand that has faced a long, on-and-off struggle survival. Point your fin

A Long Time Coming for the Envision The Buick Envision has been coming to the US from China since 2017, quietly carrying a 25 percent import tariff the whole time. Built under the SAIC-GM partnership, it’s the only Buick in America that gets hit with these extra duties. Most buyers probably never noticed, but that tariff has been baked into the price for years. That’s about to change. GM has confirmed it will start building the Envision’s successor in the US starting in 2028. When that happens,

Clamping stuff to the workbench so you can grind or sand on it is a pain sometimes. And if you are having to move and flip and rotate your part to grind on multiple surfaces, it can really take some time. It might not be a big deal if you are only grinding on one or two parts, but if you are doing lots of grinding then that wasted time can really add up. If you have looked for magnetic grinding tables or grinding chucks then you know these things are not cheap. I’ve seen a few folks build their

Vapor blasting, or wet blasting as many people call it, is a media or sand blasting method that uses water and sometimes an added detergent. The water and abrasives combine to clean and slightly polish metals without big heat buildup. In many cases, blasting parts with a vapor blaster will create a finish that is incredibly close to a brand new finish. Sometimes it takes a more flat factory cast look and makes it more satin or semi gloss which is really nice as well. But vapor blasting systems c

The 1967 Corvette is arguably one of the most popular Corvette’s in history, and is certainly the most popular mid-year model as it was the final year for this body style and the one with the highest horsepower thanks to the famed 435 horsepower, tri-power equipped, 427 cubic inch Big Block. This particular ’67 that the guys at Horsepower Depot are putting together will have considerably more power than that, so let’s see how it’s coming along so far and we’ll keep updates coming. It seems like more and more products nowadays make absurd exaggerated claims as to how powerful, fast, or bright they are. It doesn’t matter what you are looking for online, there always seems to be manufacturers using crazy claims to attract buyers. When it comes to jump starters, amperage seems to be the thing that all the brands use to compare theirs to other brands. But are any of their amperage claims realistic? I’ve always wanted to either widen a set of wheels in my shop, or rehoop a set of wheels to make them a completely different diameter and/or width. So when I saw this video, where a set of rare and cool 1970’s Spinstars were getting new hoops, and being turned into a bolt together two piece wheel, I was pretty stoked and knew I needed to check it out. In this video there is some lathe work that goes down, but I’m sure some of you could get creative and come up with an alternative method. It’s go

Pretty much every car enthusiast on earth has at one point or another fantasized about owning their own racetrack, a place to go hell-for-leather without the restrictions of speed limits, traffic and all the other things that restrict our fun on the road. There’s currently an opportunity for that fantasy to come true for one particularly wealthy car fan, as Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, a club-level road course in the Californian desert a few hours east of Los Angeles, is up for sale at $26 million

I’ve been fortunate enough to be at a couple of parties in the condos outside turn 2 at Texas Motor Speedway and can tell you that they are pretty cool. I went to a party in one of them where the guy who owned it also owned Danny Sullivan’s Spin and Win Indy Car and had it on display inside the condo. It was cool as hell. But it is kind of rare to see these things come up for sale in recent years, so if you always dreamed of having one of these, now is your chance. There are a bunch of amenitie
