Forget Lamborghinis - if you want the wildest, most extreme roadgoing experience possible, you want the Polaris Slingshot, and for 2026, there are five variants of the insane three-wheeler to choose from, including the returning Grand Touring model, with a T-top roof that offers more protection from the elements but also a less extreme look.
Based on the range-topping R trim, the limited-edition Grand Touring boasts a ProStar 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 204 horsepower, which is mated to your choice of a manual or AutoDrive automatic transmission. Brembo brakes and a vented sport hood are also included, and inside, the GT offers a Rockford Fosgate four-speaker sound system, an interior lighting kit that can be controlled from your smartphone, and custom-stitched heated and ventilated seats with power adjustability. The final flourish is a black and iridescent green metallic paint job, but the rest of the range also offers stunning colors to choose from. And if you're shopping for one of these, those more visceral variants are probably the right choice.
New Colors and Wheels for 2026
Polaris
Available for the SL, SLR, and R models are three new paint schemes with an iridescent finish. Along with the aforementioned Grand Touring green, the range offers five new colors for 2026. For the SL, White Lightning and Sunburst Orange are on offer. The SL and SLR get access to Blue Rush, and the SLR gets Mirage Gray, while the R model (set apart by black badging) gets the choice of Radiant Gray with Red Indy Pearl or pearlescent White Crystal with Mint Fade. For those who don't want a color-shifting finish, the R can also be had in Midnight Smoke, a matte metallic paint. New wheels are also available for 2026. Both SLR and R models can get five-spoke honeycomb wheels that are said to increase airflow to the brakes, with the option being new to the former trim and a returning choice for the latter. To match the badging of the R model, these wheels come in gloss black.
2026 Pricing Lineup
Polaris
The base Polaris Slingshot S is available in Slingshot Red and Jet Black with a starting price of $24,999, while the SL is available in White Lightning, Blue Rush, and Sunburst Orange for $28,299. The SLR starts at $31,399 and comes in Blue Rush and Mirage Gray, while the R carries a base MSRP of $34,999. This is available in Midnight Smoke, Radiant Gray with Indy Red Pearl, and White Crystal with Mint Fade. Finally, the Grand Touring only comes in a two-tone Viper Black with Green Venom finish and starts at $41,499. If you want the AutoDrive automatic transmission, it'll cost an extra $1,850 on all but the R and Grand Touring trims, where Polaris wants $2,150 more. The new lineup ships to dealers this month.
