Trick Rides has built its reputation on obsessive craftsmanship and reverence for American muscle. Recently, it unveiled the Shelby GT350TR, a modern, track-focused reinterpretation of one of the most important names in American performance. Built entirely in the company’s 31,000-square-foot facility in Yukon, Oklahoma, the GT350TR blends classic Shelby styling cues with contemporary engineering, aiming to deliver modern performance without abandoning the character that made the original GT350 a legend.
Unlike a traditional restoration, the GT350TR is a ground-up build designed to meet today’s performance expectations. Steel body panels maintain authenticity, while flush-mounted glass, custom LED taillights, and Ringbrothers hardware introduce subtle modernization. The approach is intentional: keep the visual identity familiar, but engineer everything beneath the surface to modern standards.

700 Horsepower and a Manual-Only Setup
Powering the Shelby GT350TR is a supercharged 700-horsepower Coyote V8, paired exclusively with a TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual transmission. Trick Rides is clearly targeting purists, prioritizing driver engagement over automated performance. A custom exhaust system with Ultimate Headers and MagnaFlow mufflers delivers the aggressive sound expected from a Shelby-branded build.
For buyers seeking a different flavor of performance, Trick Rides also offers a naturally aspirated 427 cubic-inch stroker engine. Both powertrain options reinforce the same philosophy: high output, mechanical involvement, and a driving experience that stays true to the Shelby name rather than chasing trends.

Power Has a Price, and it ain't Cheap
The GT350TR rides on a Roadster Shop chassis similar to that of the Fox body Mustang at last year's SEMA, It brings modern rigidity, ride quality, and handling to the classic platform. Independent front suspension, Fox coilover shocks, and a parallel four-bar rear suspension with a 9-inch rear axle provide tunability and stability. Oversized sway bars front and rear, Forgeline three-piece wheels, and Continental Z-rated tires complete the performance-focused setup.
Braking is handled by Baer hardware, with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers sized to match the car’s output. According to founder Jason Engel, the goal was a Shelby that could be driven hard without losing its identity. The Shelby GT350TR starts at $339,000 and is offered in custom paint schemes, positioning it as a high-end, no-compromise build aimed squarely at serious collectors and drivers.
