Why Was This Mercury ABANDONED For 27 YEARS? Will This Mercury Marauder Run and Drive Again?

(0 reviews)

Sometimes the story behind a car that is a barn find, garage find, field find, or junkyard find is as good as the car itself. And sometimes these cars find themselves abandoned for no real good reason. And after so many years, there are plenty of times when the reason it is parked has long been forgotten. I’ve heard stories of old trucks sitting because the owner bought a new one and just couldn’t imagine selling the old one, only to leave it languishing next to the barn for 30 years, after having been through several late model trucks in the meantime.

So when someone like Dylan McCool gets hold of something cool like this Mercury Marauder, and then brings it back to life, we’ve got to like that.

Check this one out and let us know what you think. On paper it has all the right stuff to make a really good road trip machine. Will it run well enough though?

Video Description:

This 1965 Chevy Mercury Marauder has been left abandoned for 27 years, but today we attempt to make it run and drive for the first time in nearly three decades. It’s a 390 big block with all the great options; think it’ll come back to life?
