The DoorDash 250 was an exciting road race. It ended with only two cautions, with Denny Hamlin taking the worst damage with 19 laps to go and wasn't able to finish the race. The race wasn't all bad for Denny Hamlin as he was able to get the Stage 1 victory, Kyle Busch continued his success and won Stage 2 making it his second Stage win of the season and his first Stage win at Sonoma. As the race continued, Martin Truex Jr. showed his determination late in the race as he captured the lead and didn't look back.
