August 14, 20178 yr Trying to upgrade vCMP sessiong but getting Disk limit exceeded errors like below Quote login: Aug 14 10:38:50 slot1/mifnt1slbtst01 emerg load_config_files: "/usr/bin/tmsh -n -g load sys config partitions all " - failed. -- 01071008:3: Provisioning failed with error 1 - 'Disk limit exceeded. 16188 MB are required to provision these modules, but only 14368 MB are available.' . Unexpected Error: Loading configuration process failed In reviewing I thought I needed to add more cores so I logged into the Viprion and changed the state of the vCMP session to Disable and then altered the vCMP Cores from 2 to 4 and tried again.. same issue, same errors. Next, noticed we have three images on HD1 (System - Disk Management - HD1) so removed the one not in the mix so just kept HD1.1 - OLD (Current Image) HD1.2 - empty (just deleting the 12.0.0 unused image we went from 10GB free to 32GB free) HD1.3 - NEW (Future Image) Also tried to remove the unused files avrdata afmdata But first had to unprovision APM, delete the files and reprovision APM
August 14, 20178 yr Author Just a note about removing the avrdata and afmdata I did unprovision APM to unlock those files, then deleted them and then reprovisioned APM. Then I noticed files came back. So here are the steps I did which worked Unprovision APM delete avrdata, afmdata reboot chassis (System - Configuration - Device) Review no avrdata, no afmdata, APM is still not provisioned Provision APM reboot chassis (System - Configuration - Device) You are Good to Go This worked for me, probably overkill
August 14, 20178 yr Author Upgraded and everything looked good but when I tried to click on System - Configuraiton I received the following error "General database error retrieving information" means corrupt LTM database So since the vCMP Guest is on Slot1, rebooted slot 1 and that made the vCMP Guest active on Slot2 Tested System - Configuration again and no error, so then reboo vconsole <guest> <slot number> Here is what I did now that you know the command vconsole mifnt1slbtst01 1 touch /service/mcpd/forceload reboot Then did the same thing but replaced 1 with 2 REF: https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K44259537
