Starlink Minis are becoming the must-have accessory for UTV drivers everywhere. No, it’s not so you can scroll the UTV Action Instagram page on the fly. We use it for safety; with it, we are never out of communication in case of a breakdown or other problem. Also, we use it to provide Wifi connectivity to mapping apps like oNX, so we can see up-to-the-minute trail data and track our other Starlink-equipped buddies who are riding with us. There’s also a new form of communication that allows you to use your cell phone in place of radio communication through an app called Zello. Connected to a Bluetooth helmet kit like Cardo, you can talk with anyone around the world at the push of a button. It seems like every month, we find a new reason to have a Starlink Mini along on every ride. Here are several ways to carry and get the most out of your Starlink Mini.

1
ADVENTURE LAB $109.95
This one is great for those guys already utilizing Milwaukee’s Packout storage boxes. The Adventure Labs product is an aluminum cage that fits around your Starlink Mini and clamps to the lid of any Milwaukee Packout box. Optional black powder coat is available for $20 and the mount is lockable.

2
AMAZON $49.98
The cheap Amazon quick-release mount is what we use since we jump from car to car so often. It works exactly like a quick release fire extinguisher mount does. The small slots in the frame allow you to use hose clamps to attach it to any roll cage. The other side is a plastic wedge that clicks into your mini, leaving room for power cables. Savage UTV sells one like this with a stronger wedge, but it is twice the price. We have broken our cheap Amazon unit twice, so yes, we are in need of an upgrade.

BE ALPHA PRINTS $55.00
If you’re looking to carry a StarLink Mini on the roof of your pickup, the Be Alpha Prints vehicle suction cup mount is the simplest solution. It attaches to windshields, sunroofs, or any smooth glass surface.

4
PCI MINI GO MOUNT $264.99
Here’s a convenient way to mount, power, and carry your Starlink Mini wherever you go. The bracket attaches to your vehicle’s roof with strong magnets connecting onto adhesive-backed metal plates (+$47) and is powered by an external battery (+$120), allowing for 6 hours of run time. Unfortunately, you can’t charge the battery as you are driving. So we would use the 12 Volt Power Cable while driving and plug the battery in while stopped. PCI has more permanent or race solutions as well.

5
SAVAGE UTV ROOF TOP MOUNT $219.00
For a more permanent solution, Savage UTV’s roof mount gives you confidence to use your Starlink in rough terrain without worry. Savage sells magnet, quick-release, race, and full-sized Starlink mounting solutions as well.

STAR-BATT $1,000, $1,599 (airline compliant)
The Star-Batt is basically a case and battery for your Starlink Mini that will provide enough power for 24 hours of light use and connectivity. Wifi works through the case lid, so there’s no need to open the lid unless outside temperatures go over 80 degrees, which can shut the unit off if the internal temperature reaches 120 degrees. You can also trickle charge the battery while you’re driving, then when you come to a stop and turn your engine off, the Starlink keeps running without interruptions for that full 24 hours. The battery and box measure 17”x13”x7”, weigh 27 pounds, and feature one USB and two USB-C ports to charge your other goodies. You can suction cup or ratchet strap it anywhere, or Can-Am owners can purchase the LinQ mount for another $65.

STARSTREAM $3600
The Stream Box will allow you to livestream your adventures straight to your own YouTube, Instagram, Facebook page, or a race promoter’s live feed. It works in conjunction with your Starlink Mini and includes both audio and video. The Star Stream teams offer great tech support to help you get up and streaming.
