  13. Engines fired at the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. The race consisted of 188 laps with Stages going 60-60-68. Chase Elliott won Stage 1, his third stage victory at Talladega and first of the season. Aric Almirola beat out Elliott for the Stage 2 win in a photo finish. There was 8 total cautions and the race ended with an overtime finish. Kyle Busch crossed the finish line as cars crashed behind him.
