Car Feature Video: This Ultra Rare 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham Modified By Rutterz Rodz Is Epic
Our friend John Jackson is back at it with another great feature shoot video, but this time it’s with something even more rare than his norm. This 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham is one of just 400 built in ’57, with another 304 built in 1958. These cars were the most expensive car in the United States at the time, with a price tag just north of $13,000. Keep in mind that an Eldorado Barritz was just over $7,000 at the time, and that was an ultra high end machine. But this one right here is something at a whole other level. It’s not a restoration, but rather a reimagining if you will and we love it. Check out John’s video from the photo shoot of this machine. The church parking lot is certainly a great backdrop. Check it out and let us know what you think about this machine. Does it bother you that they painted the stainless roof? Video Description: Stopped in Bristol Tennessee to Photograph Rutterz Rodz latest Custom Car Build this 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham that they modified for the Doyle Thomas collection. I first saw the car in Texas when Mike brought it to Texas Goodguys Show in Fort Worth Texas. Even with the bad weather Mike walked away with the coveted “Custom Rod of the Year” Finalist nomination in the quest to be part of their “Top 12”. I actually photographed it twice this evening once for Goodguys, and this photoshoot was for the print publication “Modern Rodding”. Richard Holdener is back at it with even more fun turbo tech. While turbo sizes are pretty simple, compressor maps are not necessarily as easy to understand. LIL GANGSTAS BATTLE FOR BIG MONEY AT CAROLINA GOLD 2026 AT SHADYSIDE DRAGWAY
The popularity of Lil Gangstas is absolutely insane, and we love it. Not only because it is good, fun, close racing, but also because the fact that Jimmy and Poland convinced the no prep world to go index racing is just awesome. If you aren’t familiar, Lil Gangstas is a small tire, no prep, 5.30 index, 1/8th mile class. The goal is the make it to the finish line before the guy in the other lane, and to do so without going quicker than 5.30. Go 5.29 and you are out and your competitor wins. It’s simple really, and just like any other no prep, you’ve got to make it from A to B in order to move on. The gang at Spoold Media put together a nothing but Lil Ganstas video from the Carolina Gold event at Shadyside and I know you’ll dig it. Running 5.30s is a challenge, but the cool thing is that most of the cars are the stuff you know and love. These are real cars, with real power, doing race car things, and we love it. Video Description: The most hype class right now is Lil Gangstas and big money was on the line at Carolina Gold!!! With 37 cars, who would be the baddest of the bad and cash in at Shadyside for the Lil Gangstas chain!!!! Will This 40 Year Old RV That Derek Bought SIGHT UNSEEN, RUN, DRIVE And CAMP 850 Miles Home?
Derek from Vice Grip Garage has had some pretty interesting adventures on the road behind the wheel and underneath some pretty interesting rides. He is the king of taking the gamble, but he nearly always makes it home. He’s got a great attitude when it comes to making stuff run, and nothing scares him. But what about when the old thing he’s trying to make run and drive is an RV that also has appliances, a septic system, a fresh water system, and electronics that are all at least 40 years old? Did I mention that he needs to sleep in this bad boy too? And I’m sure he’s going to need a shower at some point along the way. So if he wants this thing to cruise the 850 miles home, and he wants to not have to stop at truck stops to clean up and eat, then he’s going to need this bad boy to work. But how much work will it take to make everything work? Let’s see. Video Description: A guy found a vintage motorhome in Maryland on the line.. so I did the right thing and bought it site unseen! Restore & Protect vs Deposits (500,000 Mile Engine Tear Down Reveals All) Does This Oil Really Work?
If Lake says it’s good, I believe him. I just wanted to start off with that. Lake Speed Jr. is one of the smartest folks in the automotive aftermarket, is a real life oil analyst and engineer, and has designed some of the best engine oils in the aftermarket for hot rodders and racers alike. He’s earned his stripes, and that’s why I trust him when it comes to engine oils. So how does this Valvoline Restore and Protect actually work? According to Valvoline it works miracles, and I’ve heard a few claims from other folks that seem to support it. But what does Lake have to say? Check out these real tests and let us know what you think. The video on the bottom of the page is the oldest, and the one at the top is the newest that goes with the description below. Video Description: Valvoline claims “Restore & Protect returns pistons to factory clean by removing up to 100% of deposits when used as directed,” so a Ford EcoBoost engine ran 500,000 miles on conventional 5W-30 motor oil. After that mileage, Valvoline tore it down for inspection, they found 7 cold-stuck piston rings. The engine was then reassembled and run on Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W-30 for multiple oil change intervals (approximately 150+ hours). In this video, we reveal: • The before & after piston condition • What “stuck” rings actually mean • Used oil analysis results from the test • Whether cleaning deposits caused increased wear No Sponsorship. Just data. Let’s dig in. The post Restore & Protect vs Deposits (500,000 Mile Engine Tear Down Reveals All) Does This Oil Really Work? appeared first on BangShift.com. View the full article
