A Modern Homage The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is undeniably a stunning modern creation from the Italian marque. While it shares its underpinnings with the Maserati MC20, the car was styled and handcrafted by Italian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera as a tribute to the iconic 1960s 33 Stradale – a model long celebrated as one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Alfa Romeo limited production to just 33 units worldwide, and FRAME on YouTube shared behind-the-scenes footage of how these hand-built

You Can Never Be Too Sure The automotive industry is complex; it has many facets that need constant oversight and proper handling. One major aspect is, of course, the production of the cars themselves, which entails many moving parts and people. We're so used to hearing that building cars today is state-of-the-art technology. Big factories with robots and humans working in harmony to build cars at a rapid rate to meet growing global demands. However, no matter how hard we try to ensure that each

Truly scratch built cars are a rarity nowadays, regardless of what some high end builders want you to believe. Bespoke might be the trendy word, but there are differences in levels of design, fabrication, and build quality. And if you have a completely custom 1969 Camaro built, most shops, even the most high end, are going to start with a 1969 Camaro or with a reproduction body. That doesn’t mean they won’t massage each and every part, or that some parts might not be reproduced from scratch, but

New developments in the car world are always closely guarded secrets, but in a world where a social media presence is essential to the sustained growth of a brand, mistakes are made relatively frequently. Presumably meant to be published later in the year, a now-revised post on LinkedIn appears to have accidentally leaked the news that the all-new Audi RS 5 will debut this year with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, as first reported by Motor1. The same post also revealed that the Ingolstadt-based br

Oracle Reimagines the Headlight Automobile headlights have seen their fair share of innovations over the years. But perhaps the most revolutionary, dare we say, is the latest lensless technology developed by Oracle Lighting, a Louisiana-based outfit specializing in automotive illumination. Oracle Lighting It’s a ground-up rethinking of what a headlight is. Traditionally, you’d fin

Late last year, Honda said it would be introducing support for its older sports cars by expanding parts availability for selected models. The global program initially started in Japan, but Acura has now launched its own Honda Heritage Parts program in the United States. Owners of the first-generation Acura NSX will now be able to purchase either Genuine Honda Reproduction Parts or Honda Compatible Parts for the iconic sports car, making it easier to maintain these cars decades after they were fi

Citing a long list of concerns, many of them the common ones on most folks minds, Orland Speed World Dragway has officially closed their doors to Electric Vehicles. The ban does not apply to hybrids, just fully electric vehicles, and this ban is effective immediately. And while I understand the reasons that they have cited, I personally don’t agree with them, as they make assumptions that these reasons are exclusive to electric vehicles and this just isn’t true. I’ll go into that in more detail

Despite styling its New Defender in the image of the Classic Defender, JLR continues to offer limited-run special editions based on the original because it's, as the name suggests, such a classic. The most recent gives the old-school SUV paint from the Defender Octa, and as cool as it looks, it's priced like a 911 GT3 RS and has no additional performance over a regular Defender. But the alternative does. Meet the 2026 Osprey Custom 4x4 OC90. Resplendent in Fuji White, this one-off was built for

(Photos by Kim Fuller) • Often described as the Idaho’s largest motorsports gathering, the 53rd Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Boise Roadster Show featured an impressive display of vehicles from across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. Dating back to it’s inception in 1973, this long-standing event does not disappoint. Special guest Chip Foose (of Overhaulin’ fame and a past Master Builder at the show) appeared for a meet-and-greet, with one of his builds on display. Every vehicle entry received a

Man this place is full of epic stuff that I’d really love to see under the tree, or under the hood in 2024. The PRI Show is where everyone that’s anyone seemed to be on hand checking out parts, making sponsors happy, signing autographs, partying at the local bars and just having too much fun all around. It's been almost a decade since Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111 began a phased-in compliance schedule that mandated rearview cameras for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or less, but in 2025, several automakers have been struggling with the law. Among those that have issued recalls for faulty backup cameras has been Hyundai, and now the problem is affecting 2024 and 2025 Santa Fe models (including the hybrid version), with some 143,472 vehicles potentially a

From One Courtroom to Another Fresh off a win in court over Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat resale values, FCA US – the American side of Stellantis – is back in the legal hot seat. This time, it’s not about money or market trends. The focus is on a hardware issue that could impact driver and passenger safety. A new class-action lawsuit says FCA and seat supplier Lear Corporation sold over 2 million vehicles with a faulty electric seat-height adjuster. According to the complaint, this part, found in se

A Closer Look In November 2025, Stellantis recalled more than 320,000 Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe models over a high-voltage battery pack issue that could pose a fire risk if left unaddressed. Now, one owner affected by the safety campaign – identified as manufacturer recall number 68C – has offered a behind-the-scenes look at how dealers carry out the fix, filming the repair process as technicians work on the vehicle. The YouTube channel Jeeps On The Run shared footage of a dealer serv

Hot-Selling SUV Under Fresh Scrutiny With 123,929 units sold last year, the Hyundai Palisade is a key model in the automaker’s US lineup, alongside the Tucson, Santa Fe, and Elantra. But with so many on the road, every recall or safety issue gets noticed by many owners. Last month, Hyundai recalled 2020 to 2025 Palisade SUVs after regulators found that the third-row side curtain airbags might not meet federal safety standards. The main concern is whether these airbags actually protect passengers

Fuel Leaks Are Serious Fuel leaks are one of those problems you never want to ignore. Gasoline is quick to evaporate and can catch fire if it hits something hot or electrical. Even a small leak can mess with how the engine runs, causing rough idling or even shutting the engine down when you least expect it. That’s exactly what one 2006 Frontier owner reported in a recent petition to the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA). According to the filing, the smell of raw gasoline was strong

Another Recall for a Recall Fix It’s been more than two years since Jeep first recalled more than 330,000 units of Grand Cherokee for a serious rear suspension issue. However, over 80,000 of them are now headed back to dealerships for another round of repairs. The original problem? Rear suspension parts could come loose while driving, turning into road hazards for everyone. That was supposed to be fixed, but as it turns out, the solution didn’t always hold up. Even after the first recall was sup

A Quiet Update With Lasting Effects Toyota has rolled out a Limited-Service Campaign that covers over a million hybrid AWD vehicles sold in the US in recent years. It might look like a minor update at first glance, but for hybrid owners, this is one you’ll want to pay attention to. The problem comes down to the rear traction motor system in Toyota’s AWD hybrids. The high-voltage floor underwire connector that powers the rear motor can end up exposed to mud, water, or road salt as the miles add u
