Stellantis has just released its annual sales results for 2025, and while the company with multiple brands under its umbrella saw an overall year-over-year decline of 3%, there were some noteworthy individual model successes. One of these is the Dodge Durango SUV, which achieved its best total sales year since 2005, up by 37% over 2024. Considering that the third-generation Durango first went into production in 2010, that’s an outstanding result for a vehicle on such an old platform, so what wer

A Re-Recall Last year, Stellantis issued a recall for Dodge Hornet and Alfa Romeo Tonale hybrids that had faulty brake systems. Specifically, the brake pedals could snap while in operation. A total of 21,000 vehicles were affected – 17,000 of which were Hornets, while the other 4,000 were Tonales. It has just come to light that the issue continues to persist – and this time, with an additional number of affected vehicles. That's according to a recall safety report, freshly published by the Natio

From Parts Supplier to Performance Identity It may not be widely known, but Dodge didn’t start out as a muscle car icon. Back in the early 1900s, it operated as the Dodge Brothers Company, building engines and chassis for early players like Ford and Oldsmobile. The brothers earned a reputation for precision manufacturing long before they ever put their own badge on a car. Over the last hundred years, Dodge has reinvented itself more than once. It jumped on the muscle car comeback, went all-in on

More Choice for Charger Owners After reintroducing combustion power back to the Dodge Charger lineup, the Michigan-based manufacturer is further boosting the performance car’s appeal with new options for the Sixpack-powered models. This time, however, the additions have nothing to do with horsepower and instead focus purely on cosmetics – namely, a Satin Black hood graphic and Fratzog dual stripes. Owners of the all-electric Charger Daytona may already be familiar with the Fratzog option, as it

A New Entry Point for Performance? A report from The Drive states that Dodge CEO Matt McAlear is not ruling out a new sports model priced under $30,000. At that price point, it would undercut every affordable sports car currently available in the U.S., including the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Toyota GR86. Affordability is one thing, but the bigger question may be whether there is even a market for it. At least according to McAlear, the answer is yes. He told the publication, “There’s a market for affo

Around a month ago, Dodge dealers were still battling to sell 2024 versions of the Hornet plug-in hybrid. At that stage, inventory of the 2024 electrified SUV still sat at over 80%. But the Hornet’s problems run far deeper than the hybrid model, as Dodge has seen fit to kill off the crossover entirely, including the base non-hybrid model. This means there’ll be no 2026 Hornet, with the sporty crossover surviving for a mere three model years. Dodge Blames Policy Shift For Hornet’s Demise

Stellantis has announced that its electric vehicles in North America now have access to the Tesla Supercharging network. Spanning 27,500 locations, compatibility with the Supercharging network significantly improves access to charging for EV owners. The move benefits owners of electric vehicles from Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, and Maserati, all of which fall under the Stellantis umbrella. For models without a NACS charging port, a new adapter is available from certified dealerships or Mopar. What St

Orders For The Durango R/T 392 Are Opening Soon Dodge’s 2026 Durango lineup already stretches from the practical V6-powered GT all the way up to the wild, supercharged V8 SRT Hellcat Jailbreak. But there’s been a gap between the everyday and the extreme, especially when it comes to pricing, and that’s exactly where the new Durango R/T 392 lands. According to Kevin Hillman, Senior Vice President of Dodge Product, order banks for the R/T 392 are expected to open later this month. Hillman confirmed

The new Dodge Charger keeps its muscle car status, but almost everything else has changed: the Hemi V8 is gone along with the Challenger name, the quickest versions are now electric, and every new Charger comes with standard all-wheel drive. Some feared this would spoil the image of Dodge’s large muscle car as a silly but entertaining, tail-happy muscle car, but the new Charger’s AWD system doesn’t spoil the fun. Dodge has now detailed all the different modes for the Charger’s AWD system, which

Stars and Stripes Spec Sheet The 2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 is a rolling tribute timed to coincide with the United States’ 250th anniversary, and we finally see it in the metal after being unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. It is not a clean-sheet redesign, but a thematic special edition layered onto the existing Durango GT – one that leans heavily into Americana, both visually and philosophically. Dodge positions it as a celebration of “power, heritage, and patriotic grit,”

You can buy AAA batteries for pennies each, or you can spend dollars each, and I always wonder if the cheap ones are actually worth buying or not. And then the cheap ones you get included in something you buy on Amazon sometimes don’t even have a label, and yet they seem to last forever in whatever they came in which doesn’t help me think I need to buy name brand batteries. In recent years I’ve gotten to where I mostly buy Kirkland batteries from Costco because they are supposedly Duracell batte

Don Nelson has confirmed that rising nitro standout Eily Stafford will take over the controls of his California Hustler Nitro Funny Car for the 2026 NHRA Heritage Series season. “The team we have assembled now is setting the tone for a standout season in the NHRA Heritage Series. We are already running 5.60 elapsed times and look to be solidly in the 5.50s as we focus on winning in 2026. I think Eily has exactly the right attitude and determination to help us get there—this should be an excitin

A Familiar Ferrari Upgrade Ferraridoesn’t exactly lack excitement, but for those who want something even sharper, there’s usually an upgrade. That’s where the Assetto Fiorano package comes in. It’s the track-focused option, which means lighter parts, stiffer suspension, and hardware built for serious lap work, taking cues straight from Ferrari’s own Fiorano test track. That familiar formula won’t apply to the new Ferrari Amalfi. While the Roma’s successor is quicker and more technically advanced

A Plug-In Hybrid 911 Once Felt Inevitable Back in 2017, reports pointed to a plug-in hybrid Porsche 911 being deep in development. The 992 platform had been described as "hybrid ready," and some early comments from engineering bosses suggested there was room for a battery big enough to offer short electric-only trips. Fast forward to today, the 911 has been electrified in its own way, but not with a charging port. The new T-Hybrid setup in the updated 911 GTS and Turbo adds meaningful electric a

A Lightweight Specialist Tries Something New Donkervoort is as niche as they come. The Dutch brand is known as a purveyor of ultra-lightweight sports cars with direct steering, almost no driver aids, and the kind of road feel you just don’t get in most modern performance cars. The F22, with its Audi-sourced turbo five-cylinder, was the purest version of that approach so far – and it didn’t take long to sell out. The new P24 RS doesn’t throw out the Donkervoort formula, but it does tweak it in a

Donut Lab’s Solid-State Claim Sparks Early Criticism Earlier this year, Finnish startup Donut Lab grabbed headlines after claiming it had developed the first production-ready solid-state EV battery capable of charging in about five minutes. The announcement quickly drew criticism, with some industry observers accusing the company of exaggerating or making misleading claims about its technology. Those accusations softened after an independent test showed the battery could charge to about 80 perce

The Reliability Crisis We Should’ve Seen Coming There’s no escaping the fact that modern engines are failing at alarming rates. Toyota, Honda, and General Motors have all issued massive recalls involving hundreds of thousands of vehicles due to catastrophic engine failures. Engines are seizing up, catching fire, and leaving drivers stranded. Even brands with reputations for reliability are putting out engines that should last 200,000 miles, yet are barely making it past warranty periods. It com

This 1967 Mercury Comet is a really cool Nostalgia Super Stocker that brings back memories of some cool Mercury drag cars I grew up with at Fremont Dragstrip in Northern California. One of my favorites was the Team Smokey Bear 1964 Mercury Comet. It was a Super Stock M Automatic car, so was small block powered, but it was still a fun car to watch. Check out this cool vintage hot rod as Evan gives us all the details and shares some fun action video of it going down track. Video Description: Da

Ice and snow racing events just make me smile, but probably not for the reason you think. As awesome as these events are, and as cool as the race cars and trucks can be, it’s the people that are racing in the snow and ice all winter that really set these events apart. If you asked the average sand drags or traditional drag racing competitor if they would change a few things on their ride and then go race it on the ice or in the snow, most are going to say NO. But when you live in the ice and sno

Everyone around here knows that NHRA Pro Stock is one of my favorite classes. Sure it has changed a bunch over the last decade or so, but it is still great drag racing. I have always loved NHRA Pro Stock and as a kid that was all I wanted to grow up to drive. So when I had enough money as an adult, I went to Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School and got my Pro Stock license. That was nearly 25 years ago. I’ve been fortunate to drive some pretty rad stuff since, but letting go of the clutch pedal in a do
