Expedition: What are your social media handles and how can people find you online?

Expedition: Where is your favorite place you have traveled to so far?

Heather: Hands down the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. Any trails from Telluride to Ouray to Silverton. But not by vehicle, only by feet, I really enjoy finding all the hidden locations that can only be experienced by foot.

Expedition: What kind of vehicle do you have currently? What is your dream rig?

Heather: I currently drive a Nissan X-terra with a small lift, Gobi rack and larger tires that I actually bought from you guys. My X-terra has successfully made it through the entire Alpine Loop, Ophir Pass, Imogene Pass, and Last Dollar road. My dream rig - probably a sprinter van with high clearance.

Expedition: What is your favorite fireside meal?

Heather: My favorite "fireside" or camp meal is always breakfast - but any time of the day. I love a good fire top breakfast before a big day on the trails - whether it is mountain biking, running, or off roading - gotta start a good day off at breakfast. My favorite is definitely iron skillet breakfast burritos made with sweet potatoes, a ton of veggies, eggs and bacon with spicy salsa and a lot of cheese.

Expedition: What is your next adventure?

Heather: Next trip - I will be going to Steamboat Springs for a week in June for all things outdoors - where we camp, hike, paddle board, mountain bike, and run a full marathon.  After that, I will be going to Lake Superior in July for a 50k run.

If it isn’t obvious by now Heather is very active and has tons of knowledge about the Alpine Loop Region. We are really excited to feature some future articles from Heather about what to expect when traveling in the Telluride, Ouray, Silverton, and Alpine Loop Regions. Many of our clients take their vehicles that we build for them to that area so this will be very helpful. Make sure to hit up her socials below.
