Jeep Updates and Rebadges the Grand Wagoneer

The Wagoneer is a legendary nameplate amongst 4x4s, and next year the Wagoneer sees a refresh and a simplification. Previously dubbed the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, the 2026 models will be consolidated under the “Grand Wagoneer” banner. Additionally, the Jeep badge is making a return to these models after being removed from the current iteration, solidifying their place in the Jeep lineup. Along with the naming changes, the Grand Wagoneers will see design refreshes, including an updated and illuminated seven-slot grille, full-width lightbar, horizontal LED taillights, and a more squared-off front end.

Inside the Grand Wagoneer is full of luxury touches, including Nappa leather, open-pore wood trim, a field-of-view heads-up display, and all of the tech integrations you’d expect for a vehicle that’s firmly planted in the luxury SUV realm.

Under the hood, the 2026 Grand Wagoneer will offer two different powertrain options. First, the 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six gasoline engine is carried over from the previous generation. It offers 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque, with a best-in-class available towing capacity of up to 10,000 lb when properly equipped. The second option is a first-in-class range-extend electric vehicle powertrain. This REEV pairs the 3.6-liter V6 with a 92 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors. The V6 acts as a generator, and the dual motors provide approximately 647 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque. The REEV has an estimated 0 to 60 mph time of 5 seconds and an estimated total range of over 500 miles. The REEV powertrain option will be available late next year.

Pricing on the new Grand Wagoneer models ranges from $62,145 for a 2WD base model and tops out at $96,390 for the Summit Obsidian 4×4. While these Jeeps might be at the upper end of the price range for vehicles meant for off-road adventures, the last generation included an interesting overland concept build. We’re curious to see if these become a popular option for those looking for a large SUV with an adventurous pedigree.
