XOVERLAND Announces Overland Collective with Overland Journal and Expedition Portal

[Bozeman, Montana] – XOVERLAND, a leader in the overlanding community, known for its captivating travel documentaries and inspiring adventures, is thrilled to announce the creation of Overland Collective, alongside the acquisition of Overland Journal and expeditionportal.com.

Overland Collective brings together XOVERLAND, Overland Journal, Expedition Portal, and XOVERLAND Ranch under one unified banner and represents a strategic collaboration to strengthen the individual platforms while benefiting the overlanding community as a whole. This new house of brands marks a significant milestone in the overland industry and reinforces XOVERLAND’s commitment to building the world’s largest and most authoritative overland media collective.

“Together, we will cultivate a content collective where overlanders can find inspiration, resources, and a sense of community,” said Clay Croft. The inception of this partnership can be traced back to 2009 when Clay Croft picked up an Overland Journal at a local dealership. Over the past 16 years, Clay and Scott Brady have developed a friendship that has included expeditions across the Road of Bones in Russia, South America, and the first south-to-north vehicle crossing of the Greenland Ice Sheet.
With this acquisition, XOVERLAND aims to retain the editorial integrity of Overland Journal while expanding its reach to both international travelers and domestic overlanders. Rachelle Croft will serve as Chief Executive Officer, Clay Croft as Chief Creative Officer, and Scott Brady as Executive Publisher. Rachelle shared, “I’m honored and grateful to step into this journey with Overland Collective and a community that’s not afraid to push boundaries. We’re here to tell real stories, spark adventure, and build something that truly matters. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead with you all.”

“I am continually impressed by Rachelle’s business leadership, along with Clay’s expedition acumen and creative vision,” said Scott Brady. Scott remains part of the ownership team with a minority stake.

As XOVERLAND embarks on this exciting new chapter, the team expresses deep gratitude for the support of their viewers, listeners, subscribers, and the overland community. For more information, visit xoverland.com, overlandjournal.com, and expeditionportal.com.
