Max Vehicles:10 Min Vehicles:5 Cost:$275 per person Location: Hungry Valley SVRA This clinic is specifically designed to meet the needs of novice off-highway drivers or someone with a bit of experience who is looking for a more complete understanding. In the class we will cover basic information about 4WD vehicles (just enough to understand what is going on). We will cover a lot of safety and environmental concerns. But the largest part of the class is driving technique to get you through a variety of terrain. A handout of the material covered is provided. Here is a list of items we will cover: Off Road Vehicles, How 4WD Works, Driving Technique, Safety, Pre Run Check, Survival & Peace of Mind Kits, Options & Accessories, Overview of options for getting unstuck, Post Trip maintenance, Trail Etiquette & Tread Lightly. The class does not address vehicle build-up options and issues. This class is a prerequisite for Getting Started Off-Road Driving - Day 2. The class will answer these questions and many more questions: How do you avoid damage to an expensive vehicle? What is the critical difference you need to understand about operation of 4WD systems? What do you need to avoid, when descending a steep Hill? What impact does an automatic transmission have on off-road driving? How can you improve your traction by 250%? How deep can you safely cross water? What is the most important safety item you can bring? What are 10 ways to effect vehicle recovery? Each vehicle will receive a copy of Jim Allen's Book "Four-Wheeler's Bible". Retail price on this book is $34.99. This 200 plus page book is chock full of color pictures to illustrate how it works, what to do, and what to avoid. You need a stock SUV or 4WD vehicle with 4 low range capability. All wheel drive vehicles that do not have a 2 speed transfer case are not appropriate for the class. Two examples of vehicles that are not appropriate for the class include Subaru Forester and the Honda Ridgeline. The class is about 4 hours of classroom and 4 hours of behind the wheel practice. Hungry Valley has a practice area for 4WD that we will use. Everyone has a lot of fun. It is a great way to learn about your vehicle and build confidence. The class is limited to 10 vehicles. more info

  4. Wife loves this better than when I do this on the grill. I do add a salt / pepper seasoning on the wings before putting in the oven and again when I flip them for just a bit of extra flavor.
  5. Equipment Recommended Chef's knife or kitchen shears Measuring cups and spoons Mixing bowl Baking sheets Aluminum foil Prepare the chicken wings, if necessary: If the wings are whole and not yet separated, use a chef's knife or kitchen shears to cut through the first joint of the wing and remove the wing tip. Discard or keep for stock. If you'd like smaller pieces, you can also cut through the second joint to separate the wing into the forearm and upper arm portions. Take the chill off the wings: Leave the wings on the counter while you prepare the sauce to take the chill off. Otherwise, the butter sauce will congeal when you toss them. If this happens, though, it's fine! Just continue with the recipe. Make the buffalo sauce: Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the hot sauce and salt. Coat the wings with the sauce: Transfer the wings to a mixing bowl. Pour half the buffalo sauce over them and toss to coat. Marinate the wings: Cover the bowl and marinate on the counter for 20 to 30 minutes, or in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Reserve the remaining buffalo sauce. (If you refrigerate the wings, the butter sauce will congeal; that's fine.) Heat the broiler: When ready to cook the wings, position an oven rack 6 to 8 inches below the broiling element and turn on the broiler on Hi. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Transfer the wings to the baking sheet: Remove the wings from the marinade and shake off any excess. Arrange the wings on the foil-lined baking sheet, spaced a little apart. Discard the marinade. (NOTE: Its important not to have the butter or sauce on the tin foil because it will prevent the wings from getting crispy) Broil for 10 to 12 minutes, then flip. Broil for another 10 to 12 minutes. The wings are done when the skin is crispy and the meat pulls easily from the bones. Toss with remaining buffalo sauce: Pour the remaining hot sauce over the wings and toss to coat. Serve immediately: Transfer the wings to a serving tray and serve while still piping hot with the blue cheese dressing and celery sticks alongside.
  6. So fender issue is now much worse not sure what the solution is. I see a lot of articles talking about either A. Trimming fender (cutting the fender which takes away from the look but adds functionality) B. Moving axle forward by 1 inch (this could also help with vibration in 4wheel drive due to the angle but could cause issues with high steer)
  7. Went to the Mounds thanksgiving morning. Big to do here. Got pretty muddy which wasn’t my intention. go pro wouldn’t stay fastened to windshield so didn’t get crap for video. insane amount of people. Glad we got there early
