  2. Top Fuel and Funny Car finals moved to Friday in Bristol due to inclement weather EPPING, N.H. (June 7, 2026) – Pro Stock points leader Dallas Glenn picked up his third win of the season on Sunday at New England Dragway, defeating Matt Hartford in the final round of the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto. The final round in both Top Fuel and Funny Car were postponed due to weather and will be completed on Friday in Bristol. The Top Fuel finals in Bristol will feature points leader Shawn Langdon, who has won three straight races, and Leah Pruett, while John Force Racing teammates Jordan Vandergriff and Jack Beckman will meet in the Funny Car championship round. Glenn, the reigning world champion, put together a near-perfect final round against Hartford before the rain came, posting a brilliant .002 reaction time and a run of 6.543 at 209.39 in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro. The points leader enjoyed a tremendous day, picking up round wins against Shane Tucker, Erica Enders and No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson to reach the final round, posting a .011 reaction time against Anderson to pull off the holeshot victory. He was even better on the starting line against Hartford, rolling to his first career victory at New England Dragway. It’s also his third victory of the 2026 season after previous wins in Phoenix and Valdosta, giving the young standout 24 career Pro Stock victories. The car wasn’t dominant in qualifying, as Glenn took the fifth spot, but things worked out perfectly on Sunday to stay in command in the category. All three of Glenn’s wins this season have marked his first career victory at the track. “Dave (Connolly, crew chief) said the track was going to run better if it held and he was going to be aggressive. I hit the tree pretty good the round before, so I left everything alone. The car felt great, and we just kept picking away at it all day, making it a little better every run,” Glenn said. “When I got out of the car, I asked, ‘Was I at least double-oh something?’ I had no idea it was .002. I knew Matt was going to be fast, so I knew I needed to get enough on the tree to get around him. Historically, this hasn’t been one of my better tracks, but Dave and the team kept working on the car and we found enough to get the job done. “Phoenix was a track I’d never won at until this year. I’d never won here until today. Now we’re heading to Bristol, another place I haven’t won yet. Hopefully we can keep checking them off the list.” Hartford advanced to his third final round this season and the 24th in his career thanks to round wins against Deric Kramer, Eric Latino and Greg Stanfield. Glenn’s lead now stands at 39 points over Anderson. In Top Fuel, Langdon, the No. 1 qualifier and points leader, will have a chance to win his fourth straight race when he takes on Pruett in the final round on Friday in Bristol. Langdon beat Clay Millican and teammate Doug Kalitta on Sunday, while Pruett advanced to the finals with wins against Scott Farley, Maddi Gordon and Billy Torrence. Funny Car No. 1 qualifier Jordan Vandergriff defeated Jeff Arend, Chad Green and J.R. Todd to reach the championship round, while his JFR teammate Beckman took down Phil Burkhart, Matt Hagan and Ron Capps to advance to the finals. 20. The trip to New England Dragway has proven to be a very strong outing for Greg Anderson and the HendickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro so far this weekend, and eliminations for the 13th annual NHRA New England Nationals haven’t even begun. Anderson, driving his HendrickCars.com entry out of the 11-time championship winning KB Titan Racing stable, swept in an astounding 145th low qualifier award on Saturday at the event, and in doing so won a second Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge bonus race on the season. The table is set for Sunday to complete the trifecta, and with a bye run in the first round, Anderson is starting the charge for a 115th Pro Stock win on solid footing. “I’ve had some good fortune the last couple of weeks, and I hope that continues on,” said Anderson, who defeated Troy Coughlin Jr. in the final of the #2Fast2Tasty Challenge by just .003-second, 6.545, 209.17 to 6.592, 208.20. “It was a great day at the office, and I think we’ll have similar conditions tomorrow. I feel like you’re going to have to run even faster to win. The racetrack is good, the air is good, and it’s just a great weekend to be here.” Anderson’s HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro has been the cream of the crop for much of the year, and in Epping, N.H., this weekend he’s picked up a good load of bonus points. With the quickest car in the first and second sessions on Friday (6.548 and 6.508, respectively), the six-time world champion scored six additional bonus points for the day. On Saturday, he was second-quickest overall in two sessions, for a plus-four in marks and a fifth No. 1 start of the season. “I believe I’ve had the fastest car all year long, and it’s bailed me out a lot of times. That’s what it’s all about; you have to have it all together – that’s the only chance you’ve got,” said Anderson, who was the No. 1 qualifier for four consecutive races earlier this year – Phoenix, Pomona, Charlotte, and South Georgia. In Maryland last weekend, he clocked a 6.464 on Sunday that was low elapsed time of the event. According to NHRA statistician Bob Frey, on raceday at New England Dragway, Anderson has the opportunity to achieve another milestone in a career in which he is the most winning Pro Stock driver in the history and second-most winning in any NHRA class, behind only John Force. If Anderson should reach the New England Nationals final, it would be the 200th of his career, including four Four-Wide finals in which he was finished either third or fourth in the quad. After the victory in Maryland last weekend, Anderson has reached 195 two-lane finals. “I’ve got a tough side of the ladder, no doubt about that,” stated Anderson, who will face either Aaron Stanfield or Jeg Coughlin Jr. after taking a competition bye run in the opening act. The other two pairings on Anderson’s side include a match between Erica Enders and Troy Coughlin Jr., and reigning world champion Dallas Glenn vs. Shane Tucker. “It worked out great for me today, but I know that come tomorrow, everybody wants to whup my ass – whether it’s my team or the other team,” said Anderson. “I know that going up there, and I have to do my job or I’m going to get beat.” The first round of Mission Foods Drag Racing Series eliminations for the 13th annual NHRA New England Nationals are set to begin on Sunday at the revised, earlier time of 10:30 a.m. ET at New England Dragway. Jordan Vandergriff and the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car team waited until the final run of the fourth and final qualifying session of the NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway to set low elapsed time and, in doing so, the Funny Car rookie captured both his first career No. 1 qualifying award and second career NHRA Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. Vandergriff ran 3.913 seconds at 323.58 mph to Ron Capps’ 3.953 seconds at 328.16 to earn his second Mission Foods Challenge white winner’s ballcap. But it was the yellow ballcap for setting low ET in qualifying that he was most proud of. His John Force Racing teammates were right there with him. Jack Beckman qualified the PEAK Chevrolet SS Funny Car second and Alexis DeJoria qualified the Bandero Chevrolet SS Funny Car third, marking the first time they have swept the top three spots. In Top Fuel, Josh Hart put the Speedmaster Top Fuel Dragster in the third spot, as well, with his Friday Q2 run of 3.724 seconds at 337.92 mph. Round one of the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, held during Saturday’s first qualifying session, pitted Beckman and Vandergriff against each other based on their semifinal matchup in last week’s semifinals in Maryland, where Beckman went on to finish runner up. Vandergriff’s Cornwell Tools Chevy got the holeshot and it was a close race until just past halftrack when both cars lost traction. They each coasted across the finish line but this time it was Vandergriff who took the win and the transfer spot into the final round against Ron Capps, who earned lane choice. “Right when I crossed the finish line and the parachutes hit, I thought, ‘God, that felt quick.’ To get the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge win and the No. 1 qualifier in the same day is unbelievable,” said Vandergriff. “I never thought I was going to get one of these No. 1 qualifier hats, but now I’ve got one. We’re one, two, and three (in qualifying). That’s a testament to John Force, what he’s built, the equipment he has and the people he has working for him. Right now, we’re the best three Funny Cars on the property. Jack Beckman has helped me a lot with driving and Alexis DeJoria has helped me with handling the emotions. Having teammates like that is huge. To be eight races into my Funny Car career with two Mission wins, a Wally and now a No. 1 qualifier – it’s pretty incredible.” Heading into Q4, DeJoria held the No. 1 spot will her Friday night Q2 run of 3.929 seconds at 312.42 mph, Vandergriff was second with his Q2 run of 3.932 seconds at 326.32 mph and Beckman was sixth with his Q2 run of 3.950 seconds at 323.81 mph. “Well, we finally did it. John’s wishes came true. We got the JFR cars into the top three qualifying spots,” DeJoria said. “I was happy to carry the No. 1 qualifier on Friday. I thought if anybody could go around us, it’d be one of our cars. It’s an all JFR affair on the top half of the field.” With Vandergriff in the #2Fast2Tasty Challenge final round, DeJoria and Beckman ran together in Q4. Beckman moved to the provisional top spot with a run of 3.921 seconds at 327.35 mph to DeJoria’s 3.934 seconds at 329.50 mph It was at the 2024 NHRA New England Nationals that 16-time NHRA Funny Car Champion and team owner John Force earned his record 157th and final NHRA Funny Car victory. In Sunday’s first round of elimination, Vandergriff and the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car team will face No. 16 qualifier Jeff Arend whose best qualifying run was 4.152 seconds at 264.18 mph. Beckman and the PEAK Chevrolet SS Funny Car team will line up against No. 15 qualifier Phil Burkart who ran 4.075 seconds at 311.05 mph. DeJoria and the Bandero Café Chevrolet SS Funny Car team will be matched up against Cruz Pedregon, who qualified 15th with a run of 4.008 seconds at 316.97 mph. Hart and the Speedmaster Top Fuel Dragster team will face Rit Pustari, who qualified 14th with a best run of 9.189 seconds at 71.97 mph.Final eliminations have been moved up by 30 minutes and are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, June 7.Broadcast of eliminations will air from 3-6 p.m. ET on FOX. 23. The Team Kalitta Top Fuel dominance continued into Epping, N.H., this weekend when Shawn Langdon took his second-straight No. 1 qualifier, and Doug Kalitta won his third Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge of the season. The NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto is set for tomorrow; the race broadcast is scheduled for 3 p.m. eastern time on FOX. Kalitta won the Mission Foods Challenge five times last season along with the overall season title. Interestingly, he won his third Mission Foods Challenge of the season today – just like he did on Saturday of last year’s New England Nationals. Today’s final round was an all-Team Kalitta affair; Langdon defeated Billy Torrence and Kalitta dispatched Leah Pruett to reach the final. Kalitta was off the line first and leading Langdon when the Kalitta Air Careers car smoked the tires and the Mac Tools dragster cruised to victory. “Having a race for the fans on Saturday with the Mission Foods Challenge was a great idea,” Kalitta said. “Shawn and I have been fortunate enough to win these things on occasion. It was nice to get the win. The track was tricky, and we were fortunate enough to keep it hooked up. “We’re both very hungry to make it happen; both our cars are on the same side of the (Kalitta Motorsports) shop so there’s a lot of bragging rights going on. The Mac Tools car left well, and I never saw Shawn, so it was a good run for us. Hats off to Alan (Crew Chief Alan Johnson) and all my guys on the Mac Tools car. We have this lobster fest tonight (Eddie’s Lobsterfest, an annual Team Kalitta tradition); we’re going to celebrate my cousin Scott’s legacy with all his friends tonight. We’re looking forward to that and looking forward to tomorrow.” Langdon made strong runs in three of the four qualifying attempts, but his best effort came in the Friday night session when he reached the finish line in 3.709 seconds at 334.98 mph to claim his second-straight No. 1 qualifier, his fourth of the season and the 26th of his career, but in the final qualifying session, the Mission Foods Challenge final round, his teammate turned the tables. “They earned that one; they did a good job,” Langdon said. “Knowing how well their car runs, we were trying to press it a little bit, and it was a little too fast, not too tasty, but that’s okay. We kept the win in the Kalitta house; that’s good, and we got that number one qualifier. With the first-round bye on Sunday, the main focus is outrunning the winner of the eight-nine pairing to maintain lane choice in the second round. We’ll be able to regroup and get the car back where we know it should be.”With 15 Top Fuel cars in Epping, Langdon will have a first-round bye on Sunday. Kalitta is the No. 4 qualifier and will race No. 13 qualifier Will Smith. In Funny Car, J.R. Todd is the No. 4 qualifier and will race No. 13 qualifier Spencer Hyde, a rematch of last year’s New England Nationals final round which Todd won, in Sunday’s opening round. 25. Funny Car newcomer Jordan Vandergriff earned his first career No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at New England Dragway and also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge in the process, rolling to a spectacular Saturday for John Force Racing in front of a sellout crowd at the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto. Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday, while Shawn Langdon (Funny Car) and Anderson (Pro Stock) qualified No. 1 at the eighth of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. Vandergriff closed out Saturday in impressive fashion, going 3.913-seconds at 323.58 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS to edge out points leader Ron Capps in the final round of the bonus race. It was a thrilling way to end a standout session in Funny Car in front of a capacity crowd, as Vandergriff also swiped the top qualifier from teammates Alexis DeJoria and Jack Beckman. DeJoria was the provisional No. 1 spot on Friday and Beckman topped that effort in Saturday’s final session, only to see Vandergriff vault to the top for the first time in his career. It gives John Force Racing the top three qualifying spots heading into Sunday, as Vandergriff will open eliminations against Jeff Arend in hopes of his second win this year. “Right when I crossed the finish line and the parachutes hit, I thought, ‘God, that felt quick.’ To get the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge win and the No. 1 qualifier in the same day is unbelievable,” Vandergriff said. “I never thought I was going to get one of these No. 1 qualifier hats, but now I’ve got one. We’re one, two, and three (in qualifying). That’s a testament to John Force, what he’s built, the equipment he has and the people he has working for him. “Right now, we’re the best three Funny Cars on the property. Jack Beckman has helped me a lot with driving and Alexis DeJoria has helped me with handling the emotions. Having teammates like that is huge. To be eight races into my Funny Car career with two Mission wins, a Wally and now a No. 1 qualifier — it’s pretty incredible.” Beckman’s 3.921 at 327.35 puts him second, while DeJoria qualified third with a 3.929 at 312.42. Another Saturday meant another dominant performance for Kalitta Motorsports in the Top Fuel ranks, with defending world champion Doug Kalitta beating teammate Shawn Langdon in the finals of the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge with a run of 3.776 at 333.82 in his 12,000-horsepower Mac Tools dragster. It hands Kalitta his third Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge victory of the year, as he and Langdon have combined for five of the six wins in the bonus race this season. The duo dominated the specialty event last year and not much has changed in 2026, as Kalitta ruled the day in front of a packed house on Saturday. “We missed the run last night in the money round, but we recovered really well today. We got down the track in the first session and then stayed hooked up in that final session when it got pretty tricky,” Kalitta said. “The Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge is a great deal for the fans. It’s a great idea, and Shawn and I have both been fortunate enough to win a few of them. It’s definitely nice to come away with a win. The Mission race adds something extra. It raises the intensity and gives you another opportunity to practice under real race conditions.” Langdon had plenty to celebrate on Saturday, too, as the points leader qualified No. 1 for the second straight race thanks to Friday’s 3.709 at 334.98 in his 12,000-horsepower Kalitta Air dragster. He’s won three straight races and four of the past six, and will look to keep that impressive streak going on Sunday. “The focus is getting everything back to normal and going rounds,” Langdon said. “The main thing is outrunning the winner of the 8-9 matchup and keeping lane choice for the second round. The great thing about this team is that if Doug wins, we win. If I win, we win. We have two really good race cars and we’re all pulling in the same direction. “We learned something from that run and that’s valuable. We’ll take the information, come back tomorrow and try to put ourselves in a position to win the race.” Leah Pruett took second with a 3.712 at 335.73 and Josh Hart is third thanks to a 3.724 at 337.92. In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson has a chance to make it a clean sweep this weekend at a track that has treated him very well, winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday with a 6.545 at 209.17 in his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro to hold off Troy Coughlin Jr. in the final round. Coughlin had a huge starting-line advantage, but Anderson tracked him down, winning the bonus race for the second time this year. He also qualified No. 1 for the fifth time this season on the strength of Friday’s 6.508 at 210.67, earning the GESi Pro Stock No. 1 Qualifier Award bonus. Anderson is Pro Stock’s winningest driver at New England Dragway and also the defending event winner, giving the six-time world champion plenty of momentum heading into Sunday. “I did not do a great job as a driver, but I think I did a good job with the shifting. The racecar bailed me out today,” Anderson said. “You can’t win without some good luck. It doesn’t matter how good your car runs or how well you drive — you have to have some fortunate breaks. “I believe I’ve had the fastest car all year long and it’s bailed me out a lot of times. Sometimes you win by your driving, sometimes you win by horsepower. Today, horsepower got the job done. We’ve got some homework to do before tomorrow. I feel like I have the racecar that can win tomorrow. We just need to figure out a couple of things.” Matt Latino qualified second with 6.525 at 210.77 and his father, Eric, took third with a 6.534 at 210.57. Eliminations for the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto are set to begin at 10:30 am ET on Sunday at New England Dragway. This story was originally published on June 6, 2026.
