2026 NHRA New England Nationals: Schedule, Storylines, Records & Coverage
The 13th annual NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto rolls into New England Dragway in Epping, N.H., June 5-7 – the eighth of 20 races on NHRA’s 75th-anniversary Mission Foods schedule, the second leg of the Eastern Swing that opened last weekend at the inaugural Potomac Nationals, and the centerpiece of New England Dragway’s own 60th-anniversary season. Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock are on the championship clock. The track records that Doug Kalitta, Brittany Force, and Greg Anderson rewrote in June 2025 are still standing – for now. This page is the Drag Illustrated hub for storylines, schedule, TV times, records, and coverage as the weekend unfolds. Jump to: Storylines · Schedule · TV · Records · 2025 Winners · Fan Experience · DI Coverage · Track Info Live coverage: Storylines, qualifying results, and round-by-round eliminations post throughout the weekend. The Sunday FOX finals window is 3 p.m. ET. Refresh for the latest. Storylines Heading In Greg Anderson chases No. 4 at his Epping happy place – Dallas Glenn keeps the seat warm Nobody on the active Pro Stock roster owns New England Dragway like Greg Anderson. He has three wins here, holds both ends of the track record (6.469 seconds set in June 2025; 214.72 mph from 2015), and rolls into Epping off career win No. 114 at the Potomac Nationals last weekend – the winningest driver in Pro Stock history adding another to the ledger. The HendrickCars.com Chevrolet is locked in. The complication: Anderson’s KB Titan Racing teammate Dallas Glenn is the current Pro Stock points leader. Erica Enders, Aaron Stanfield, Matt Hartford, and Greg Stanfield are all credible threats. Anderson is chasing back-to-back wins to open the swing, a fourth Wally on a track he has carved up for two decades, and a 75th-anniversary diamond Wally on top of it. Shawn Langdon goes for four in a row – and reigning champ Kalitta is right behind him Shawn Langdon is on the kind of run that defines a Top Fuel season. Three straight wins. The Potomac final by 0.0002 seconds over teammate Doug Kalitta. The 345.00-mph national speed record at Valdosta in May. Now he’s after a fourth in a row at a track where his Kalitta Air teammate owns the ET record (3.646, June ’25). The defending New England winner, Brittany Force, brings the speed-record car (her 341.42 mph from June ’25). Tony Stewart – the 2025 Epping runner-up – is back. Justin Ashley is on the league-of-his-own form line that DI featured last month. Leah Pruett, Antron Brown, Josh Hart, and Clay Millican round out the firepower. If anyone is going to break Langdon’s streak, this is the weekend to do it. Chad Green, bproauto, and the chance to become 2026’s first three-time Funny Car winner Approaching 100 career Funny Car starts, Chad Green is having the best season of his career – Gainesville and Chicago winner, sitting third in a loaded Funny Car points race, and rolling into Epping with a brand-new bproauto livery on the Chad Green Motorsports Ford Mustang at his sponsor’s race. Green and reigning Funny Car points leader Ron Capps both have two wins on the year. A New England trophy makes Green the first three-time winner in the category in 2026. The new bproauto livery looks so good on the track and we are ready to hit the New England Nationals with the blue, orange and white colors. The brand fits perfectly with the NHRA fanbase and our goal is put the CGM bproauto machine in the winner’s circle. – Chad Green Hagan goes for No. 5 at his most prolific stop – and the whole Funny Car field is loaded Matt Hagan has four wins at New England Dragway – more than any other active Funny Car driver – and rolls into the weekend with momentum after a deep run at Potomac. The Tony Stewart Racing Dodge has been on the short list every Sunday this season. Leah Pruett is right alongside him as the TSR camp looks to make Epping a two-car celebration. The rest of the field reads like a championship roster: defending Epping winner J.R. Todd (second in points), back-to-back world champion Austin Prock (fresh off his first Funny Car win in Tasca Racing colors at Potomac), Georgia winner Jordan Vandergriff, Jack Beckman, and Alexis DeJoria. Sunday will not be quiet. Eighth of 20 – the standings start to harden Epping is the eighth race of NHRA’s 20-race 75th-anniversary season. The Countdown cut isn’t here yet, but the math is starting to lean on every team that hasn’t strung wins together. Top Fuel has been a Langdon-Prock-Brown stretch with Kalitta and Ashley breathing down the leader’s neck; Funny Car has spread wins across multiple camps with Capps, Green, and Prock all in the mix; Pro Stock keeps coming back to KB Titan Racing. Watch the points reports after Sunday – this is the weekend the leaderboards start telling the second half of the season’s story. Schedule All times Eastern. Stevie Jackson, Killin’ Time Racing Launch KTR-U Education Courses
KTR Drag Racing has launched KTR-U, a tuning education program run out of the company’s Thomson, Georgia, facility, with the first classes set to roll out in the coming weeks. Founder Stevie “Fast” Jackson announced the program on the latest episode of the Shake and Bake Show, with additional details to follow in the days after. Jackson has spent most of his racing and engine-building career holding KTR’s process and data inside the building. By his own admission, he refused for years to teach what he knew because he was afraid of training his own replacement. That stance is now gone. “I used to very much covet our process and data to the point that I would never teach anyone how to do anything in drag racing because you’re fearful that you’re going to teach somebody smarter than you that’s going to replace you,” Jackson said. “Well, KTR is taking a 180-degree backdoor back swing on that. We’re going the other way.” The opening curriculum centers on the two ECUs most common in the Pro Mod and outlaw pits: FuelTech and Holley. Jackson said KTR plans to run roughly one course on each platform every month, then gauge demand from there. According to the KTR-U website, courses include a course workbook, a KTR backpack and merch, lunch both days of the class, and discounted accommodations and the local Hampton Inn. Graduates will receive a KTR-U Certificate of Completion. Advanced courses come next, with a higher bar to enter. The advanced material is where KTR-U starts to look unlike any tuner school the sport has produced. Jackson said the program will teach traction control, O2 correction, wheelspeed management, and the math behind blower-overdrive ratios. Students will need to complete a beginner course before they are eligible. Eventually, Jackson said, the program will move from the classroom to the racetrack. KTR-U plans to rent track time, bring out 10 to 20 cars at a time, and put students in real tuning situations on real combinations. The instructors are not just Jackson. He said KTR will use multiple instructors across the program and assign whoever is sharpest on a given subject to teach it. Jackson cited his prior involvement in the launch of the tuner school at Hennessey Performance as the template. “The more people that we can get to tune cars, the more race cars we can get,” Jackson said. That line is the business case. Drag racing’s growth ceiling is increasingly capped by talent. There are more drivers and teams looking for crew chiefs and tuners than there are qualified people to fill those roles. Jackson’s own staffing pipeline benefits if the school works. So does every other team trying to hire. “We don’t want to just teach you how to do it,” Jackson said. “We want to make your car better. Make it where I can hire y’all to run cars for me.” For a tuner who built his reputation on what he would not share, KTR-U is a public bet that giving the playbook away is now the better long-term move – both for KTR and for the sport. Motorsports Engineering Symposium to Debut at 2026 PRI Show
Performance Racing Industry (PRI) will debut the PRI Motorsports Engineering Symposium, a one-day program taking place Thursday, Dec. 10, during the 2026 PRI Show at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. The program brings together race engineers, teams, manufacturers, and emerging engineering talent in a working forum focused on real-world motorsports performance and innovation. Rather than a traditional seminar, the symposium emphasizes engineering challenges, performance solutions, and cross-discipline collaboration, with a focus on how technical decisions translate directly to on-track performance. “The PRI Motorsports Engineering Symposium was created for engineers to learn, collaborate, and network with motorsports industry professionals,” said PRI Managing Director Doug Bresnahan. “At its core, motorsports is driven by engineering, and this program brings together the people solving real performance challenges every day. We are investing in the future of motorsports by expanding our focus on education, innovation, and workforce development, strengthening PRI’s role as the global hub for the industry.” The PRI Motorsports Engineering Symposium is intended for race engineers, OEM engineering groups, manufacturers, performance suppliers, simulation and data companies, motorsports consultants, and university engineering programs. “The industry has evolved, and the technical conversation needs a dedicated place to grow alongside it,” said PRI Show Director Karin Davidson. “This program is about creating that space. It brings engineers, builders, and innovators together to share knowledge, challenge ideas, and move the industry forward. This is needed. PRI is creating a place for this conversation.” Participants must be registered for the PRI Show and the Motorsports Engineering Symposium. There are no additional fees to attend the symposium. Registration for the PRI Show and the Symposium will open in July. The symposium further expands the PRI Show as the global leader for motorsports business networking, product innovation, industry education, and professional trade relationships. Exhibit Booth Sales Open for 2026 PRI Show Scheduled for Dec. 10-12 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, the PRI Show draws attendees from all 50 states and around the globe, including race teams, retailers, engine builders, fabricators, media, and more. This Might Be The Most Insane JDM Wheel Collection Ever, And Larry Chen Found It By Accident. Check It Out!
I own just two vehicles that are not Chevrolets, and those two are both Japanese imports. They are my 1985 Mitsubishi Mighty Max and my 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback. And while my plan is to build the Mighty Max into the mini truck I wish I could have built as a kid, the Honda has more sedate aspirations. It’s an EG Hatch, which makes it very desirable obviously, but it’s also a VX which was Honda’s hmileage model and that means I’m not doing anything to it but cleaning it up and making it look nice. It needs a paint job, and then I’m going “JDM Style” with the look and running wheels that are only 15 or 16 inches in diameter. While looking for just the right set, I’ve learned a few things about some of the original JDM aftermarket brands and fallen in love with the looks. So when our friend Larry Chen dropped this new video, where he’s getting a look at an amazing number of JDM wheels, I was drooling. And like many awesome automotive finds, Larry found these by accident. I won’t tell you how, because you’ll get that in the video, but I will say that this is sort of how things happen when car guys meet other car guys and gals. I love it. Check it out below. How To Make New Wheels Look Like Old Steelies, With A Twist! A New Way Of Doing Things!
For several years there have been people using custom bolt on adapters to mount dog dish hubcaps onto Weld Draglite wheels, and while it sounds weird, it really does work. The dog dish caps cover the holes in the wheels, and after a quick paint job they look like steelies but are way lighter. I dig the look, and have a project I am planning to outfit with a set. But there is more than one way to skin a cat, and this trick here is pretty cool, if a little more high tech than some others. Take a look at how the Rustomod crew gets it done! Video Description: In this video, I’m taking a set of brand-new cast aluminum wheels and giving them an old-school classic car look. The goal is to make these modern wheels blend in with a vintage build and look like they belong on an old hot rod or classic truck. Instead of running something that looks too new, I wanted these wheels to have that classic steel wheel style while still keeping the benefits of a newer wheel. This is all about making modern parts disappear into an old-school build. If you like classic cars, hot rods, patina trucks, chassis swaps, and budget-friendly custom builds, make sure to subscribe to Rustomod Garage for more. Follow along for more classic car builds, custom fabrication, patina projects, and old-school automotive content. The post How To Make New Wheels Look Like Old Steelies, With A Twist! It’s time for the 2nd Formula Offroad race of the 2026 Season in Iceland and here’s the video coverage. If you haven’t watched this kind of racing before, you are in for a treat. It’s all big power, big noise, crash and burn, and high flying action in an environment unlike any other. If you are new around there then you might not know that we seriously dig Formula Off-Road racing here at BANGshift.com. This is high flying, loud, and intense racing that involves what look to be impossible hillclimbs, usually on giant courses made from pea gravel or something similar. It’s intense, the cars often end up upside down or rolling over down a hill. They end up rightside up on their own sometimes, but regardless the action is fun and kind of nuts. These drivers do some stuff that I’m not sure most people could. Check it out below. Video Description: Formula Offroad Iceland, Stangarhylur 2026! Track 1 and 2 in Stangarhylur. Gear Showcase: Outdoor Recreation and Lifestyle
It’s time to gear up for summer and get out on the trails. This month features some of our favorite brands and products themed around outdoor recreation and lifestyle. From electric bikes and sunglasses to lanterns and utility decks, we have you covered. Boondock Decks — Utility Deck Boondock Decks is a Canadian-built brand focused on redefining utility, durability, and organization for modern overland and work-ready trucks. Designed and manufactured with real-world use in mind, their flat deck systems provide a rugged, streamlined platform that transforms a pickup into a highly capable expedition or jobsite vehicle. Built from high-quality materials and engineered for strength without unnecessary weight, Boondock Decks deliver a clean, low-profile design that maximizes usable space while maintaining a sleek, integrated look. At the core of the system is a purpose-built flat deck that eliminates the limitations of traditional truck beds. Its open, modular design allows users to customize their setup for hauling gear, mounting accessories, or supporting overland builds. The deck is reinforced to handle demanding conditions, from remote backcountry travel to heavy-duty daily use, all while maintaining easy access from all sides of the vehicle. Seamlessly incorporated into the design are Boondock’s precision-fit storage boxes, which are not an add-on but an essential part of the system. These boxes are engineered to sit flush within the deck structure, providing secure, weather-resistant storage without compromising deck space or aesthetics. The result is a cohesive solution where tools, recovery gear, and expedition essentials remain organized, protected, and instantly accessible. Boondock Decks prioritizes practical functionality, clean design, and long-term reliability. Every detail—from mounting points to material selection—is considered to ensure the system performs in harsh environments while remaining user-friendly. Whether outfitting a truck for overlanding, work, or both, Boondock Decks offers a unified platform that enhances capability, efficiency, and overall vehicle performance. MSRP: Varies BUY NOW Dillon Optics — Corsair PM-07 Dillon Optics sets a new standard in performance eyewear with its NIR Technology sunglasses — a precision-engineered solution for those who demand absolute clarity without compromise. Designed for professionals, athletes, and discerning outdoor enthusiasts alike, every pair reflects the same commitment to excellence that has defined the Dillon name across the precision optics industry. At the heart of these sunglasses is Dillon Optics’ proprietary NIR® lens technology, engineered to eliminate unwanted internal reflections that compromise visual performance in conventional eyewear. By neutralizing the light scatter and ghost images that typically degrade clarity, Dillon Optics’ NIR lenses produce a viewing experience that ranks among the clearest in the world. Whether navigating sun-drenched mountain terrain, open water, or high-glare field conditions, wearers benefit from an unobstructed, true-to-life view that performs as precisely as the instruments that inspired it. The exceptional optical performance is matched by an equally refined approach to frame construction. Dillon Optics engineers each frame from premium TR90 Nylon — a highly flexible, lightweight thermoplastic polymer renowned for its durability, impact resistance, and ability to hold its form under prolonged stress — combined with titanium components that deliver an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and long-term structural integrity. The result is a frame that sits featherlight on the face yet stands up to the rigors of demanding environments, season after season. From the anti-reflection NIR® lenses to the aerospace-grade materials in every frame, Dillon Optics sunglasses represent the convergence of science and craftsmanship. They are not simply sunglasses — they are an extension of the precision philosophy that has guided Dillon from the beginning, now brought to the way customers see the world every day.
