After a quick reset at home, we were back on the road to our next destination. New York City! The girls have been excited about this trip for a long time and we were finally able to put some time aside to make it happen. In our normal fashion, we had to do things differently and we chose to camp at the Liberty Harbor Marina & Rv Park across the Hudson River in Jersey City. We were surrounded by the typical motorhomes that you’d expect in a campground, but there were also a Jeep and a beautif

Nissan is gearing up to roll out what might be its most dialed midsize truck yet, the Premcar-built Navara PRO-4X Warrior. And yeah, as you probably already figured, it’s not coming to the U.S. Which somehow makes it even more appealing. Unveiled alongside the all-new D27 Navara, this Warrior concept is less about flashy show truck vibes and more about what overlanders actually care about. Real upgrades. Real usability. Our trip west to Nevada didn’t start exactly as we’d hoped. Before we could leave Virginia, we needed to wrap things up on our rental home and do our final walk throughs with the property management. This meant we needed a place to stay, since we couldn’t be in the house and all of our things were in a container. So we rented a cute little cottage on the York River. However, cute doesn’t always mean a good idea. Well that’s not fair, it was a great place to stay, just not at the time we did it.

Offroading in your Jeep or 4X4 is a lot of fun until you get stranded because of broken mods or gear, and nobody is around to help you! Avoiding common offroading mistakes means you’ll stay safe, and your 4X4 or Jeep will withstand much less unnecessary damage. Not Planning Your Route Before hitting the (off)road, ensure you know where you’re going! It’s not enough to carry a GPS and wing it; what happens if you’re deep in n

So you want to build your truck for off-roading! Cool! So what does that mean? There are a bunch of different kinds of off-roading, and none of them are really built anything like any of the other ones.  When you’re building your truck, what is the difference between an overland build, vs a prerunner build vs a rock crawling build? What makes each one so much better at doing what it’s designed to do? There are a lot of “overlanders” who think they are rock crawling, and there are even more rock

This allows you to spend more time enjoying a laugh with friends, sitting around a crackling campfire, or choosing a lengthy off-road trail, all while conserving energy and focus for the journey ahead.
