The Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod presented by Red Line Oil wrapped up Saturday night at Bradenton Motorsports Park, marking the culmination of the 2025/2026 Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J&A Service. As the name suggests, Pro Mod was the headline attraction with its $150,000-to-win, 32-car field and the $15,000-to-win Outlaw Light Beer Wild Card Shootout for non-qualifiers, while Pro 10.5, True 10.5, Lil Gangstas, and a slew of index classes rounded out the show. NHRA announced that the new NHRA Right Trailers Outlaw Street Series, which will feature some of your favorites from both Street Outlaws and NPK, will start in Charlotte during the 4-Wide Nationals. These cars will feature the same steel roof and quarter panels rules that they have been running under for the past couple of years, and NHRA hopes the Street Outlaws will attract new fans to NHRA Mission Drag Racing while also entertaining the NHRA fans that will already be at the race. With any luck it is a win win for everyone! DEBUT OF RIGHT TRAILERS OUTLAW STREET SERIES SET FOR NHRA’S STOP AT ZMAX DRAGWAY INDIANAPOLIS (March 2, 2026) – NHRA announced today that the thrilling new Right Trailers Outlaw Street Series, which features some of the major names from the famous Street Outlaws franchise, will debut on April 24-26 at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte as part of NHRA’s 4-Wide Nationals. The exciting new showcase for 2026 will feature 10 drivers, with three rounds of qualifying over the course of Friday and Saturday in Charlotte, followed by semifinals and finals on Sunday at zMAX Dragway. The loaded field for the debut and the four-race series will include the biggest names and the legendary figures from Street Outlaws, including Shawn Ellington, Ryan Martin, Scott Taylor, Jeff Lutz and more. The full field for the first race in Charlotte will be revealed in the coming weeks, but the excitement level is high for the group set to make their NHRA debut during the 75th anniversary season. “I think this is an incredible opportunity for NHRA and our outlaw group to work together,” Taylor said. “We are excited to come out and light the boards with our steel roof and quarter cars, as I truly believe it will shock the world to see how fast these cars are. We are looking forward to hanging out with new and current fans.” The collaboration marks a major moment in NHRA’s milestone year, with the biggest names from Street Outlaws helping put on a show for fans during the four-race campaign this season. The debut takes place at the Bellagio of Dragstrips in Charlotte, giving fans a marquee opportunity to watch the new Right Trailers Outlaw Street Series – along with the high-octane, intense action of four-wide racing in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series – all at one monumental race. It also marks the only four-wide race of the season in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, as fans get to witness one of the wildest spectacles in motorsports. Add in the stars from Street Outlaws in this debut showcase and it has the makings of an epic weekend. “The Right Trailers’ Outlaw Street series is sure to bring a new fan base to NHRA and bring those fans to the existing NHRA teams,” Right Trailers President Michael Scott said. “I have been a fan of many of the racers that will compete in the Outlaw Street series and am excited to see how big this deal gets.” Added Taylor: “Outlaw Street is about bringing a new audience to NHRA while giving longtime fans something exciting and different. Martin is also hugely popular in the series, showcasing a strong blend of speed and consistency to build his impressive standing in the sport. We’ve got more fresh photos from the Lone Star Throwdown, a Texas sized show that never disappoints! If you missed our previous galleries, don’t worry because we’ve got a link below for you to check out. (Words and Photos by Chad Reynolds) I hit the Lone Star Throwdown in Conroe Texas this weekend and as usual was blown away by the turnout of great trucks. When I arrived at the just after it opened, I have to admit I was a bit worried. The place was not full. Not by a long shot. Now we normally get down here to the show an hour or so later, so I was trying to convince myself it was going to be okay, but I wasn’t doing a very good job of it. That was until about 10, when a definite increase in the hum around the places started happening and cruise traffic started really increasing. By the time I left the show a few hours later it was hopping as usual. And while the morning started off chilly and overcast, the grounds were in great shape with little or no wet spots from the showers that were expected Friday. And by 10 am I had to take my hoodie off because it was just too warm. It was great weather for a truck show friends. The food trucks were slinging snacks, although I didn’t see the hot chocolate ans s’mores folks from last year that made a killing. It really was a great day at the show. Lone Star Throwdown, or LST as it’s often referred to, is one of the premier custom truck shows in the country, and it happens rain or shine. This show is always one of my favorites. It draws folks from all over the country, along with Canada and Mexico. In 2027 you’ll find us on site with the OBS Suburban project you guys don’t know about yet. And maybe a merch stand, who knows. Gassers are awesome, and I love everything about them, but most of the ones we see nowadays are just show cars. That’s okay, because we’d totally drive one on the street just for fun, but when you see them doing big boy burnouts, wheelstands, and more, you know they are doing God’s work. God’s Gasser Work that is. So when I saw this feature video on Russell’s wheel standing 1956 Chevrolet gasser they call Strange Magic, I knew I had to share it. This is one cool car that does EPIC burnouts, at all angles, leaves with the wheels up every time, and can be three kinds of out of control at any moment! What’s not to love about that? Sometimes the story behind a car that is a barn find, garage find, field find, or junkyard find is as good as the car itself. And sometimes these cars find themselves abandoned for no real good reason. And after so many years, there are plenty of times when the reason it is parked has long been forgotten. I’ve heard stories of old trucks sitting because the owner bought a new one and just couldn’t imagine selling the old one, only to leave it languishing next to the barn for 30 years, after having been through several late model trucks in the meantime. So when someone like Dylan McCool gets hold of something cool like this Mercury Marauder, and then brings it back to life, we’ve got to like that. Check this one out and let us know what you think. Tommy Lee Byrd has been busy in 2026, and man are we loving the content. The video below features some really cool factory race cars, rare muscle cars, and his favorite hidden jems from the Kissimmee Florida Mecum Auction. This one is special, and in an age where we see no shortage of car auctions it still amazes me what kind of machines these auctions find and are able to roll across the auction block. It’s like going to a museum when you attend some of these sales, and this one here is no exception. Just look at these epic machines. We love truck and tractor pulling events, and this one here is a great way to kick off truck and tractor pulling in 2026. Check out the first of the Kentucky Invitational videos we are going to share. The Kentucky Invitational TNT Finals action starts here with 2wd Super Modifieds! If you have never been to a truck and tractor pull then you really are missing out on something. They are way different than anything else you’ll see racing, but there is something about them that is just awe-inspiring. And of course, this right here is one of the coolest pulling trucks I’ve ever seen. I want one. LOL There are a bunch of classes for trucks, tractors, and stuff that just looks sorta like trucks and tractors. Some of my favorites are Super Modified 4WD and 2WD trucks and this batch of 2WD beasts from the Kentucky Invitational Finals is fun to watch.
