Can-Am & Maxxis Win King Of The Hammers
Privateer Jeff Martin takes his Can-Am Maverick X3 shoed with Maxxis tires to victory at KOH. Renowned as one of the toughest off-road races in the world, the 2026 Can-Am UTV Hammers Championship course raised the bar once again. The unforgiving rock trails of Johnson Valley took out several front-runners and caused lead-swapping chaos. Through the carnage, Martin preserved his machine and made his move late in the race, climbing to the front and never relinquishing the lead. After ten hours of racing, only 25 of the 122 teams finished the race. “After pit two, when we headed down Aftershock, we really scaled it back,” said Martin. “We didn’t want to damage the car… And then when Cole Clark got behind us, he was right there, and we decided just to let him go. We started driving smart and driving our race. Then we were out in the desert, and man, we were going as fast as we could, watching temps – just keeping everything at bay. And then, lo and behold, Cole had a problem and pulled over. So it was just home free. But we were pushing it 100 percent the whole way. Special thanks to Chris Blais, he was a huge help.” Martin’s finishing time of 4 hours, 54 minutes, and 30 seconds placed him among the rare privateers to claim the UTV Hammers Championship, finishing more than seven minutes ahead of second place. In addition to the overall UTV victory, several other Can-Am racers found success at the 2026 Can-Am UTV Hammers Championship. Can-Am ambassador Hubert Rowland piloted his Maverick R to a Sportsman class win. Meanwhile, Kurt Mackie took top honors in the Pro Stock Turbo class, followed by freestyle motocross legend Brian Deegan and co-driver Terry Madden in second place. With a privateer overall win, multiple class victories, and strong performances across the field, Can‑Am leaves the 2026 King of the Hammers with strong momentum. Looking ahead, the team is all-in on preparation for the iconic Mint 400 on March 7th. MRT Tires Secures Podium at King of the Hammers as Cole Clark Finishes 2nd Overall with Zero Flats on 37” Rocky RX
Huntington Beach, CA — February 12, 2026 — MRT Tires delivered a major statement on one of off-road racing’s biggest stages at the King of the Hammers 2026, one of the toughest races in event history, as Cole Clark (#24) drove his Single Seat Polaris RZR Pro R on 37” MRT Rocky RX tires to a 2nd place class finish and 2nd Overall in the UTV Hammers Championship. Tackling one of the most brutal off-road races in the world, Clark’s podium result — achieved with Zero Flats — underscores not only driving talent and preparation, but also the performance and durability of the 37” MRT Rocky RX, a tire purpose-built for the harshest environments in off-road racing. Competing in the 4900 Open UTV class, Clark faced a stacked field of elite competitors along with extreme rock trails, high-speed desert sections, and relentless terrain that eliminated the majority of the field. His ability to push the pace while preserving equipment underscored both his driving skill and race strategy, as well as the durability and sidewall strength of MRT’s Nycore tire construction. “These MRT Tires — I beat the hell out of these tires and they held up. I am so amazed by them,” said Clark. “No lie, it’s probably the best tire I’ve ever ran. The sidewall is super tough — everybody says that, but this thing is actually tough.” 37” MRT Rocky RX 37” MRT Rocky RX: Zero Flats in the Harshest Conditions Clark’s podium finish came on the 37” MRT Rocky RX, a newly released size introduced in October 2025 and optimized for larger, high-horsepower UTVs competing in extreme terrain. Throughout the race, the Rocky RX absorbed repeated impacts while maintaining traction, stability, and control — ultimately delivering a Zero Flatsperformance from start to finish. “They track so good in the desert — razor-sharp performance. The tire is built for the car,” Clark added. “I’ve been beating the crap out of these things and they’ve held up to the test.” Cole Clark The Rocky RX features a super-sticky compoundengineered for maximum grip on rocky terrain, combined with 8-ply Nycore belted construction and reinforced sidewalls designed to deliver exceptional strength, flex, and impact resistance. Suspension Direct E-LINK: Dynamic Sway Control for Winning Handling
Electronics are increasingly redefining vehicle dynamics, and Suspension Direct’s E-LINK represents one of the most practical applications of that shift for off-road enthusiasts and racers alike. Rather than rigid or manually disconnecting sway bar links, E-LINK introduces electronic control into the link assembly itself — giving riders the ability to tailor roll stiffness and articulation with precision. At its heart, the E-LINK system replaces traditional fixed sway bar links with electronically actuated links that can engage or disengage your anti-roll bar on command. Whether you’re building a dedicated race rig or refining a trail machine, this means switchable sway bar behavior without ever leaving the cockpit. For pure suspension freedom and handling versatility, E-LINK bridges the gap between on-road stability and off-road compliance. How the E-LINK System Works E-LINK swaps your standard sway bar links for electrically activated units that respond to a control signal. Most kits include a simple two-position switch mounted in the cab, letting you shift between engaged and disengaged modes. When engaged, the sway bar link functions like a traditional solid link, minimizing body roll. When disengaged, it allows each wheel to articulate independently — ideal for technical terrain and rock crawling. SDi E-Link Universal Kit includes rocker switch to allow lock/unlock sway bar links on-the-fly Unlike quick-disconnect aftermarket links that require stopping, E-LINK provides on-the-fly adjustability. That means more time riding and less time wrestling hardware, and it opens the door to smarter control when paired with adaptive suspension systems. SDi E-Link on a Polaris RZR XP S Why E-LINK Matters for Off-Road Performance UTVs and other off-road vehicles often face mixed terrain within a single ride: fast dunes, tight rock gardens, rutted washes, and hardpack trails. Fixed sway bar links offer a compromise that rarely nails every use case. E-LINK gives you: Improved high-speed stability with the sway bar engaged Maximum wheel travel when disengaged for tricky obstacles Seamless control changes without stopping This adaptability yields a smoother ride, better traction in technical sections, and more confidence at speed — a compelling advantage for trail riders and racers alike. E-LINK and E-CLIK One of the strengths of the E-LINK system is how cleanly it pairs with smart suspension platforms. When integrated with adaptive shock control found in SDi’s E-CLIK, E-LINK becomes part of a holistic ride-control strategy, adjusting both sway stiffness and damping in harmony with vehicle inputs and terrain sensors – automatically! This integrated performance isn’t just helpful — it represents a leap over traditional mechanically linked systems. Riders benefit from instant responsiveness and tailored behavior that would be virtually impossible with conventional hardware. Factory E-LINK-Style Control on the 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition Polaris has taken the E-LINK concept a step further by embedding electronically controlled sway bar links as part of the new DYNAMIX DVS suspension system on the 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition. Unlike standalone aftermarket kits you install yourself, Polaris’ system is factory-integrated hydraulic locking links developed in partnership with Suspension Direct, Inc. The electronic links on the Ultra Edition can switch rapidly — up to 200 times per second — giving the vehicle dynamic control over anti-roll behavior as terrain changes. This setup works in three modes: Semi-Active (rapid lock/unlock), Locked for maximum stability on fast sections, and Unlocked to allow full articulation during technical climbs. Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition with SDi E-Link By tying this active sway link control into the broader DYNAMIX DVS system, Polaris delivers a suspension that adjusts sway stiffness automatically alongside damping and ride modes. The result is smoother handling, sharper control at speed, and enhanced comfort across demanding terrain — all without the rider needing to fiddle with switches mid-trail. Honda Powersports Rides On To The 6666 Ranch
Honda Powersports & Products and 6666 Ranch proudly announce a landmark partnership, uniting two icons in their respective realms, each defined by hard work, durability and an uncompromising commitment to doing things the right way. As the Official Powersports Partner of 6666 Ranch, Honda brings its trusted Pioneer, ATV and power-equipment products to a legendary ranch that has embodied the spirit of real work for over one and a half centuries. Through the three-year partnership, Honda will provide powersports and power-equipment products to support daily operations at 6666 Ranch, including transportation across ranch property, fence inspection and maintenance, and support for cattle and horse operations in challenging conditions. Honda branding will also appear throughout ranch facilities and grounds, with the partnership extending to collaborative activations at signature events including the Return to the Remuda Horse Sale in Guthrie, Texas, and The Run for a Million held in Las Vegas. Founded in 1870, 6666 Ranch (pronounced “four sixes”) is recognized as one of the most storied ranches in Texas history. Today, it remains a leader in the agriculture industry, with operations spanning quality beef production, disciplined land management and the breeding of top-performing American Quarter Horses. Spanning 260,000 acres in Texas, the ranch manages thousands of cattle seasonally, supported by highly skilled cowboys and proven livestock-management practices refined over generations. The ranch’s managers maintain a long-held vision for responsible conservation, implementing practices that reflect good land stewardship while maximizing long-term land productivity. “Honda vehicles and power-equipment products are engineered to perform day in and day out, and this collaboration celebrates the people and places that depend on that reliability every single day,” said Jeremy McGuire, Director of Customer Engagement at American Honda. “Partnering with 6666 Ranch allows us to honor shared values of hard work, civic responsibility and respect for tradition, and to support the people and lifestyle that this country was built on.” Rooted in more than a century of ranching operations, 6666 Ranch is owned by Taylor Sheridan, whose commitment to authenticity and respect for the American West aligns with the values upon which the ranch was built. While also known as a filming location for the hit show Yellowstone, it remains first and foremost a working ranch, guided by performance-driven operations and uncompromising standards. “At the Four Sixes, we don’t partner with brands unless they earn it,” said Taylor Sheridan, owner of the 6666 Ranch. “Honda builds equipment that works the way a working ranch demands: reliable, durable and built without shortcuts. That shared respect for real work and doing things the right way makes this partnership a natural fit.” The post Honda Powersports Rides On To The 6666 Ranch appeared first on UTV Action Magazine.
