Tool Testing: Hyper-Tough Enters the Non-Slip Wrench Battle: Who Will Win? Walmart versus ICON versus Snap-On Shootout
When you think there isn’t anything new they can do to an end wrench, they change the game. In recent years the Non-Slip wrenches have become the thing and as usual they are available in a variety of brands and price points. While Harbor Freight has become the largest tool seller in the country, Walmart has been hot on their heals trying to grab as much of that market as possible and doing a great job at it with brands like Hyper Tough and Hart really making a statement. But now the competition is getting even steeper so how does a Snap-On wrench compare to Harbor Freight’s ICON and Walmart’s Hyper Tough? Video Description: Walmart’s introduced a new non slip wrench design from their Hyper Tough line and the world demands a comparison between these and the standing feud between ICON and Snap-On. These being ratcheting models, we try to look at these from all the angles and take it all into account along with Amazon Basics, Workpro and Toolant reversible. We do not accept any tools shown on the channel from any brand, nor do we take any sponsorships, partnerships, discounts, product placement deals, pre-market brand samples, money, items or compensation of any kind from brands, tool makers or otherwise in the planning or creation of these videos. The Martin Lundqvist Racing Street Week Sweden Drag and Drive 1969 Camaro Project Continues! Driveshaft Enclosure Install And It Sits On It’s Own Wheels For The First Time!
I can’t wait to see Project 508 in person in Sweden in a few weeks! This drag and drive Camaro project sure has go some seriously sick fabrication going on and I can’t wait to see it all in person during Street Week 2026. In this installment we’ve got video showing the new driveshaft enclosure going together and being installed before this beast finally sits on its own wheels! Yep, first look at this thing actually on the ground is in this video! I love new drag and drive builds, and because I’m going to Sweden this year for Street Week I am really excited that this new drag and drive build is being built at Auto Cut in Stockholm by Martin Lundqvist Racing Fabrication. This is going to be something special. Because they are in Sweden, they aren’t talking much in these videos and what they are say you probably won’t understand. We would crank up the Closed Captioning for the subtitles, but that wasn’t an option. We know this was a drag car in it’s former life, and it’s going to be ultra cool when it’s done. While they aren’t scrapping the entire car to start new, they are replacing a whole hell of a lot of this car. We can’t wait to see it coming together, because they are doing some really cool stuff with the Auto Cut cnc machines and water jets. This is some special stuff. Check it out. Lost Buckeye Skips Day THREE Drag and Drive Photos! Our First Gallery of Day Three On Track Action and Checkpoints!
Here’s our first gallery of lost photos from Day 3 of Buckeye Skip’s Drag and Drive, and we’ve got plenty more where that came from! Plus, if you missed the previous photos we’ve got a link to those below as well. (Photos by Neal Sabo) When BANGshifter Neal Sabo said he was going to head down to Buckeye Skips 2025 Drag and Drive, to snap pictures and check out the cool stuff going on, we were like “Hell yeah!” He hit all three days, at Darana Dragway at Dragway 42, Quaker Dragway, and Kuhnle Motorsports Park and got all kinds of cool photos. He hit the checkpoints and the tracks and said it was an epic trip. The weather was pretty good, if not a bit cold at Kuhnle, but the racing was hot for sure. And then Neal got home, went through the photos, and sent me files on our dropbox. And that’s where yours truly dropped the ball. For some reason all these great photos never got posted and when we talked to Buckeye Skip himself about coming to cover the 2026 event, he asked what every happened to our 2025 coverage. Luckily Neal has no fear of throwing me under the bus when I deserve it, and I don’t have trouble taking responsibility, so we’re making up for it now! If you want to check out the photos, here is our first gallery from Day 1 and we’ll have more coming over the next several days as we’ll have a few galleries for each day of the event. Check them out, and get ready because Buckeye Skips 2026 drag and drive will be here before you know it. Tatum, Lee, Harris, DeFlorian, and T. Dietsch Earn Their Opportunity for $1 Million at IHRA Triple Crown
After rain initially forced the postponement of the first IHRA Triple Crown event at Maple Grove raceway May 22-24, the sanctioning body kicked off the big-money series over the weekend at Darana – National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio with a potential $1 million up for grabs across five categories. By Saturday night, five drivers stood alone as the only candidates eligible: Tripp Tatum (Top Fuel), Paul Lee (Funny Car), Jason Harris (Pro Mod), John DeFlorian (Mountain Motor Pro Stock), and Taylor Dietsch (Pro Stock). Tatum secured his shot at $1 million Saturday night by defeating the most dominant driver in IHRA Top Fuel this year, Gary Pritchett. In the final round, Tatum ran a 3.764 elapsed time at 328.47 mph to drive past Pritchett, who had the starting line advantage but lost power shortly before the finish line, slowing to a 3.859 at 274.39 mph. Tatum defeated Chuck Lofton in round one and Jasmine Saline in the semifinals to set up the final-round matchup with Pritchett, who took down Spencer Massey and Shawn Reed. Tatum earned $150,000 for the event win. “It’s bittersweet because my best friend [Pritchett] over there. It could’ve as easily been him,” said Tatum. “I’m really happy and happy for all my guys. This is unbelievable. I have two months to prepare for the next two, and we’ll see what we can do.” For Pritchett, it was his fourth final-round appearance in four races this season. He has two event wins and two runner-up finishes. “We may have come up just short in the final round of the IHRA Triple Crown, but I’m incredibly proud of this team and proud to be a part of it,” Pritchett said. “That’s a testament to the hard work, dedication, and determination of everyone involved in this program.” In Funny Car, Paul Lee took home $150,000 and threw his name in the hat for a $1 million prize by taking down class stalwart Del Worsham in the final round with a 3.973-second pass at 326.32 mph to Worsham’s 4.018 at 323.04. Lee outran Jon Capps and Joe Haas in the opening rounds to face Worsham, who had defeated John Smith and Bobby Bode. “The team did an outstanding job all weekend, zero mistakes,” said Lee. “I give it to my guys: [crew chief] Jon Schaffer, Seth Randall, John Medlen and the crew, excellent job and a flawless weekend. It doesn’t get more flawless than this. Del has a killer car. He’s a longtime friend and we knew he was going to be right there.” For the second time this year, Jason Harris will have the opportunity to win a million dollars. In the IHRA Triple Crown Pro Mod final, Harris used a 3.567-second pass in his “Party Time” ’69 Camaro to track down Jacob McNeal, who left first with a .004 reaction time but couldn’t quite hold onto the lead with a 3.599. Harris took home $100,000 with the win in the 31-car field. Harris also had a shot a million-dollar payday after winning the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals, the first race of the Drag Illustrated Winter Series, in December. “I’ve been .012, [.015], and .019,” said Harris regarding his reaction times in the final few rounds. “I know Jacob’s a heck of a driver on the leave. What can I say? Harts Charger, TKM, ProLine, Hoosier Race Tires, ChemSource…I got a ton of sponsors. Southern Diamond Company’s stood behind me. I’m probably the one person they didn’t want to see win this because I’ve probably got the best chance at the million. I’ve already had a chance at a million one time this year and it didn’t work out, but this is a dream come true and I gotta thank God, my family, my crew, Brandon Stroud. I can’t be happier.” By just under six-thousandths of a second (.0058 MOV), John DeFlorian defeated Jeremy Huffman in the Mountain Motor Pro Stock final round to take home $50,000 and secure his chance to win $1 million later this season. Although Huffman grabbed a slight starting line advantage – .002 to .020 – DeFlorian’s 4.052 at 177.30 mph was just enough to sneak by Huffman’s 4.076 by the slimmest of margins. The MMPS class was as competitive as ever all weekend, with 26 cars attempting to make the 16-car field. By Friday night, the qualified field was separated by just five hundredths of a second, with exactly half the drivers running 4.10-second passes. In an all-Dietsch Pro Stock final round, Taylor Dietsch ran a 4.865 at 148.66 mph to defeat his father, Jason, and earn his shot at a million-dollar payday later this year. The win was a bit of redemption for Taylor, who lost to his dad in the final round at this same track last year. Winners in the IHRA Triple Crown supporting classes included Jason Scruggs (Outlaw Pro Mod), Jody Austin (Fuel Altered), Rachel Curl (Top Alcohol Dragster), Phil Esz (Top Alcohol Funny Car), Mitch Brown (Top Fuel Motorcycle), Ryan Peery (Nitro Harley), and Anthony Rhodes (Hemi Shootout). The IHRA Triple Crown will conclude Sept. 10-13 with a massive double event at Maple Grove Raceway. The first race will take place on Thursday and Friday, with the final event in the series culminating on Saturday and Sunday. If any of the five winners from Hebron, Ohio can take home the trophies at both of the final two races, they will earn a $1 million bonus. This story was originally published on June 22, 2026. Red Line Oil PDRA Series Hitting Halfway Point in 2026 Season at North vs. South Shootout
Racers in the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster classes are eager to get back on track this weekend at the Hoosier Tire North vs. South Shootout presented by Callies Performance, June 25-27, at Maryland International Raceway. The last stop on tour was rained out before competition began, adding to the buildup for the fourth of seven races on the 2026 PDRA schedule. “It’s been just over two months since we crowned event winners at the East Coast Nationals, so everyone is excited to pick things up again at Maryland,” said Tyler Crossnoe, series director, PDRA. “This is only the halfway point in the season, but we’re already starting to look at championship battles. Some clear favorites have stood out at the first two races, but that can all change this weekend. Every year when we return to Maryland, we see some shakeups across the board from our pro classes to the Jr. Dragster ranks. Saturday eliminations will feature can’t-miss racing from start to finish as drivers fight for valuable points and a 660 Man trophy.” Three-time world champion Tommy Franklin continues to lead the Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous presented by Jerry Bickel Race Cars standings in his Musi-powered “Jungle Rat 3.0” ’69 Camaro. Franklin qualified No. 1 at the season opener and followed it up with a victory at the Summit Racing Equipment East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina. “Mountain Man” Mike Achenbach sits second in points after winning the season opener in his return to Pro Nitrous competition behind the wheel of his Fulton-powered ’20 Camaro. Defending world champion Marcus Butner is third in his Musi-powered “Heartbreaker” ’69 Camaro, highlighted by a semifinal finish at Darlington and a No. 1 qualifier award at the most recent event. Johnny Camp enters Maryland atop the WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive standings after a dominant start to the season. Camp set a new elapsed-time record at the season opener before racing to the event win in his ProCharger-boosted “Hells Bells” ’69 Camaro. He backed that performance up with a semifinal finish at Benson to maintain the points lead. Two-time Pro Boost world champion Jason Harris is second in points after driving his Harts Charger-boosted “Party Time” ’69 Camaro to victory at Benson. Melanie Salemi remains firmly in championship contention in third, thanks to a No. 1 qualifier award and runner-up finish in her screw-blown Al-Lee Installations “Purple Reign” ’68 Firebird at the most recent race. Defending event winner Blake Denton leads Liberty’s Gears Pro Street presented by KTR Drag Racing as he pursues a Pro Street world championship to go with his Super Street title. Driving the nitrous-fed “Bonnie” ’69 Camaro previously campaigned by the late Lizzy Musi, Denton followed a semifinal finish at the season opener with a victory at Benson. Jerry Morgano holds second in points after qualifying No. 1 and reaching the final round at the opener in his turbocharged small-block “Copperhead” ’02 Mustang. Ron Green sits third in the standings as he continues his search for a first win of the season in the screw-blown “Gamechanger” ’00 Firebird. Maryland’s own J.C. Beattie Jr. has established an early advantage in Pro 632 presented by Mark Williams Enterprises. Beattie has won both races contested this season while qualifying No. 1 at Darlington and No. 2 at Benson in his Reher-Morrison-powered ATI Performance Products ’18 Camaro. Former Top Sportsman standout Jeff Pittman is second in points after earning his first career No. 1 qualifier award at Benson and finishing runner-up at the season opener in his Barry Allen-powered Hickory Enclosed Trailer Sales ’68 Chevelle. Rookie standout David Cook Jr. rounds out the top three in points with a runner-up finish at Benson driving his Nelson-powered Copy&PrintWarehouse.com ’10 GTO. Defending 1320 Fabrication Super Street presented by Brian’s Heating & Cooling world champion Connor McGee once again finds himself leading the standings after two races. The driver of the Fulton-powered Brian’s Heating & Cooling ’90 Mustang won the season opener and followed it with a No. 1 qualifier effort and runner-up finish at Benson. Austin Vincent remains McGee’s closest challenger in second after driving his nitrous-fed Vincent Performance ’88 Mustang to victory at the most recent event. 2024 world champion Dan Whetstine sits third in points, led by a runner-up finish at the season opener in his ProCharged “Red Velvet” ’91 Mustang. The points leaders in the sportsman classes entering Maryland are Scott Duggins in MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman presented by PAR Racing Engines, Josh Duggins in Greenbrier Excavating & Paving Elite Top Dragster presented by American Race Cars, Joe Roubicek in MagnaFuel Top Sportsman, and Steven Boone in ATI Performance Products Top Dragster presented by TBM Brakes. The North vs. South Shootout will also feature the area’s best bracket racers in Edelbrock Bracket Bash presented by Philadelphia Racing Products. In the PDRA’s Jr. Dragster ranks, the points leaders are Katelyn Page in Pro Jr. Dragster and Carter Hayes in Classic Graphix Top Jr. Dragster.
