  3. (Words by Scott Liggett) Several years ago, Bangshift Chad and I started doing live reviews of movie car chases on social media. It was very much like what podcasts have become today. We would pick a movie’s chase scene and go over what we liked and didn’t like. We also stayed away from the ones that every gearhead knew and had seen eleventy jillion times. So, no Bullitt or Vanishing Point. The object was to bring light to ones that maybe you haven’t seen. I had been watching a bunch of chase scenes from movies and TV shows that I had never heard of on Youtube. The best part of these different channels is that they edited out the rest of the movie or show, and just left the car chase. So, I didn’t have to sit through 90 minutes of possibly bad acting, scripts, and general cheesiness. Now, we thought we’d just show you the chase scene we thought had chops and let you decide. Today’s chase is from the 1983 French film called “Le Marginal” (aka The Outsider). Directed by Jacques Deray and scored by Ennio Morricone of “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” fame. The chase has our hero cop who drives a 1967 Mustang coupe that looks like it came from the road race circuit chasing a 1975 Plymouth Volaire sedan. Pretty odd choice for a French film taking place in Marseille, France. This chase scene has no music to drown out the sound of the cars. The post 1980’s Car Chase Greatness! 21. Following his victory at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, four-time Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown will travel to Matco Tools headquarters on June 23 to participate in the company’s annual employee picnic. The visit continues a long-standing tradition between Brown and Matco Tools, one of the most recognizable and enduring partnerships in professional drag racing. During the visit, Brown and members of the AB Motorsports team will spend time with Matco employees and associates, celebrate the team’s recent success at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, and thank the people who have supported the partnership for more than two decades. Brown first joined the Matco Tools Racing team in 2003 during his Pro Stock Motorcycle career. In 2008, he moved into the Matco Tools Top Fuel dragster, beginning one of the most successful partnerships in NHRA history. Together, Brown and Matco Tools have celebrated multiple world championships, national event victories, and countless milestones throughout the last 23 years. “Getting the opportunity to come back to Matco Tools headquarters each year is something I always look forward to,” said Brown. “Matco has been family to me for more than two decades, and that’s something you don’t find very often in this sport. To spend time with the employees, distributors, and everyone who helps make this company what it is means a lot to our entire AB Motorsports team. We were excited to bring the Bristol win with us and celebrate it together because their support is a big part of everything we’ve been able to accomplish. It’s always special to shake hands, share stories, and thank the people who are behind us every step of the way.” Matco Tools hosts annual corporate appreciation events and employee picnics for its team and distributors at its headquarters and manufacturing facilities. Brown’s visit gives employees an opportunity to connect with the driver and team they support throughout the NHRA season while celebrating the shared success of the partnership. “Hosting Antron Brown and the AB Motorsports team at our Stow, Ohio headquarters for our annual summer picnic is a tradition our team looks forward to each year,” said Laura Harr, Chief Merchandising Officer for Matco Tools. “We’re proud of our long-standing partnership and are excited to celebrate his recent win together. “He and his team compete at the highest levels of NHRA racing, where our tools are tested under extreme conditions and at incredible speeds, making our partnership a natural strategic fit for Matco Tools.” The annual visit comes just days after Brown earned his first Bristol Dragway victory and the 82nd national event win of his NHRA career. The victory also marked Brown’s first win of the 2026 season and added another milestone to an already historic career that includes four Top Fuel world championships and recognition among the NHRA Top 75 Drivers. Following the visit, Brown and the Matco Tools-backed AB Motorsports team will return to competition at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, June 25-28. 24. Here’s our 2nd gallery of lost photos from Day 2 of Buckeye Skip’s Drag and Drive, and we’ve got plenty more where that came from! Plus, if you missed the previous photos we’ve got a link to those below as well. (Photos by Neal Sabo) When BANGshifter Neal Sabo said he was going to head down to Buckeye Skips 2025 Drag and Drive, to snap pictures and check out the cool stuff going on, we were like “Hell yeah!” He hit all three days, at Darana Dragway at Dragway 42, Quaker Dragway, and Kuhnle Motorsports Park and got all kinds of cool photos. He hit the checkpoints and the tracks and said it was an epic trip. The weather was pretty good, if not a bit cold at Kuhnle, but the racing was hot for sure. And then Neal got home, went through the photos, and sent me files on our dropbox. And that’s where yours truly dropped the ball. For some reason all these great photos never got posted and when we talked to Buckeye Skip himself about coming to cover the 2026 event, he asked what every happened to our 2025 coverage. Luckily Neal has no fear of throwing me under the bus when I deserve it, and I don’t have trouble taking responsibility, so we’re making up for it now! If you want to check out the photos, here is our first gallery from Day 1 and we’ll have more coming over the next several days as we’ll have a few galleries for each day of the event. Check them out, and get ready because Buckeye Skips 2026 drag and drive will be here before you know it.
