Lotus has announced a new limited edition version of its Emira mid-engine sports car, the last vehicle with an internal combustion engine it still makes. It’s called the Emira Scura, with the name being a throwback to the Lotus Exige Scura from 2009. That car was a lightweight track-focused sports car limited to just 35 units worldwide. Is This the Meanest-Looking Lotus Emira Yet? Lotus Cars

The Nürburgring testing season is beggining, and the facelifted BMW 7 Series is one of the first cars to take advantage. BMW may have just revealed two new cars on its Neue Klasse platform in the iX3 crossover and i3 sedan, but the CLAR architecture isn't going anywhere yet, and the facelifted BMW 7 Series is one of the cars that will aim to bridge the stylistic gap. 2027 G70 7 Series LCI (Life Cylce Impulse) development mules are still completely covered in camouflage, but this one spotted outs

Brand Pride If you work for a major brand, you're expected to take it seriously in terms of brand loyalty. This loyalty entails using the brand's products as much as possible. There are even some companies that offer preferential perks to those who remain loyal, while those who don't are often overlooked. It's now coming to light that a major automotive manufacturer is implementing strict rules for using its own brand products rather than competitors' cars. This issue is going viral and sparking

A Familiar Formula, Now with an Artistic Twist Ford has never shied away from special-edition Mustangs. There’s always something in the lineup – heritage models, track specials, or just appearance tweaks – that gives buyers a little more character than the standard car. This time, Ford teamed up with Troy Lee Designs (TLD) to introduce the Mustang TLD Signature Edition. If you follow motorsports, you’ve seen TLD's work – custom-painted helmets and gear that stand out in motocross, IndyCar, NASCA

Volkswagen likes to think of itself as the creator of the "People's Car," yet it followed the industry into the over-digitalization of car interiors, a mistake it's now fixing with a new generation of cars that will bring back physical buttons. Several factors were at play for this misstep, one of which appears to have been VW's old CEO, Herbert Diess, who had a different impact than some of his predecessors. Fortunately, current CEO Thomas Schäfer seems to have a better grasp of what customers

Toyota's Worst-Kept Secret Even before Toyota officially announced it was bringing back the Celica about two years ago, it was probably the worst-kept secret around. There were easter eggs in Toyota's anime, and Akio Toyoda kept saying he wants to revive 'the three brothers.' That's the Supra, Celica, and MR2, by the way. At some point, Toyota tapped into the expertise of four-time World Rally Champion Juha Kankkunen. He's relevant to this story because he won the title in 1993. The company wasn

BMW Secures Alpina's Heritage The transition of Alpina into full BMW Group control has been hanging over the brand for three years, and not without concern. Enthusiasts feared BMW would dilute Alpina's understated design DNA, especially after teasers hinted at evolving signature elements like its classic multi-spoke wheels.  Instead, BMW is playing it safe where it matters. The iconic quad elliptical exhaust remains, now subtly refined and integrated into a more sculpted rear fascia. It’s a deli

The spectacular Bugatti W16 Mistral is one of the most powerful and exclusive roadsters in the world. Its iconic W16 engine and a production run of just 99 units guarantee its collector status. Now, one of the automaker’s most loyal customers has commissioned a thoroughly unique W16 Mistral called ‘Caroline’, named after his daughter. In stark contrast to the sheer muscle of the 1,578-horsepower powertrain, this particular Mistral has an especially elegant, feminine specification. Inspired by th

A Bigger Story Hiding Behind the Headlines Chevrolet’s latest update brings Grand Sport and Grand Sport X badges back to the C8, the first time these names have appeared on a mid-engine Corvette. That’s what most people noticed right away. But tucked into the official announcement is a bigger change. The standard Corvette Stingray is set to replace its familiar LT2 V8 with a new LS6 engine. This isn’t just a minor update – it’s a change that will reset expectations for what a base Corvette offer

Lamborghini closed out 2025 with a victory lap. The Sant'Agata Bolognese manufacturer delivered 10,747 cars worldwide, marking a new all-time record and the third consecutive year the company has breached the 10,000-unit mark. Revenue hit €3.20 billion, up 3.3% on the previous year, crossing the €3 billion threshold for the second-year running. If there's a ceiling, Lamborghini hasn't found it yet. Lamborghini

Speed Freaks A common driving misdemeanor is speeding. It is, after all, one of the most heavily enforced rules of the road in any city or state. We've all been there, not really intending to go over the limit but just straying over it a little, or there are those who do it without a care in the world, blasting well past the legal limit. Some states are already introducing new legislation to curb speeders, and some measures being taken are quite extreme. Case in point: Illinois.

Spring has sprung, and several Mercedes-AMG pre-production prototypes have arrived at the Nürburgring to take advantage of the weather, one of the first of which is the electric version of the E-Class. It's unclear what this will be called; Mercedes-AMG E-Class with EQ Technology? Mercedes-AMG E 63 EQ? Whatever Affalterbach decides to call it, our spies say to expect between 800 and 900 horsepower from the 5 Series fighter, far more than today's BMW i5 M60, which tops out at 593 hp. Since the Me

Among the Few One-Off Bugattis The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Fbg par Hermès occupies a unique corner of modern automotive history. While Bugatti and Hermès first collaborated on the 2008 Veyron 16.4 Coupé, this later Grand Sport is a true one-off. It stands apart as a standalone expression of both brands’ design philosophies, blending high fashion detailing with one of the most technically advanced hypercars of its era. Now, more than a decade after it was delivered, the car is back in the spo

The Golf's Equally Important Baby Brother Even though the Polo was never sold in the U.S and Canada, it's a hugely important vehicle for Volkswagen. Introduced in 1975, it was a supplement to the Golf, released a year earlier, and was essentially a rebadged, decontented Audi 50. The formula has been simple for over 50 years, and with over 20 million sold, the Polo is a tried-and-true recipe that simply works. It's adapted with the times but has remained affordable for millions of Europeans. But

Electrified Kodo Design It's been over a decade since we first saw the first cars wear Mazda's Kodo Design language. From the very first all the way up to now, I'm fairly certain it's been working well for the Japanese brand. As the world started to turn to electrification a few years back, I turned to Mazda and asked: "What would a fully-electric Mazda look like?" Among the Japanese brands, Mazda seemed to be the most resistant Japanese automaker when it came to electrification, but now that

The Grand Reveal at the Crash Testing Center Crash testing isn't glamorous, but the Chery-Jaguar-Land Rover partnership has had the unfortunate pleasure of unofficially unveiling its newest product at a crash testing facility in China. The venue that set the stage for the car's development ultimately became its background for the world to see it there for the first time. Spy shots would have been more glamorous than this one because at least the car is in one piece. There was some effort to hid

When I see this 428 Cobra Jet Torino, I think about the ones that raced in Stock Eliminator as I was growing up and still do today. This is a rare example of the muscle that Ford flexed when it came to Cobra Jet vehicles, and this one that Steve Magnante has found in the junkyard got me a little excited. It’s an R-Code, Ram Air car, with a 4-speed, and that makes this one worth some coin. This one is a project, for sure, but it is saveable. Check out Steve’s walk around and let us know what you

Ford has announced a new recall for possible high-pressure fuel pump failures on certain Super Duty pickup trucks. This isn’t the first time these pickups have been recalled for fuel pump failures, as some of them were recalled for exactly the same issue at the end of 2024. Because selected models weren’t repaired properly, a new recall has been issued for a smaller number of F-Series models. Here’s everything we know about the new recall. It's not every year that the country you call home turns 250 years old, and Ram isn't letting the opportunity to celebrate slip by. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Ram has partnered with non-partisan organization America250 to launch three new special editions based on the Ram 1500 Big Horn, Laramie, and Rebel, applying one of three colors to the metal and one of two designs to the cabin. Most of us only have a 1/2 inch impact in our toolbox. Whether it is air operated or cordless, that’s still about all we need for most hot rod and racing jobs. And even those things are overkill sometimes in the impact wrench battles that we see nowadays between all these manufacturers. But what about those for big jobs like big trucks and heavy equipment? I watch some YouTube channels that use 3/4 impacts all the time and when needed will pull out the big guns with a 1 incher. On only one occa

Growth Continues Amid a Cloud Right now, Hyundai’s got a headache with the Palisade in the US, enough to trigger a stop-sale. It’s the sort of thing that can turn opinions fast. But if you look at the bigger picture, Hyundai’s been on a roll in America – 2025 was its best sales year yet, and that didn’t happen by chance. The company has tightened up its lineup, pushed harder into electrification, and steadily improved how the brand is perceived. At its latest shareholder meeting, Hyundai made it
